Kavanaugh’s Wife Puts Reporters Camped Outside Their Home to Shame – Did It With BIG Smile

Since the seemingly “well-planned” release of the alleged sexual assault accusation of Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh, nobody has spoken a word about what his wife and daughters must be dealing with. She’s watched her spouse endure the highest level of scrutiny, after having worked most of his life, sacrificing, to achieve the top judicial position in the country.

It has to be emotionally trying on a level many may never understand to see that opportunity compromised by an assault claim against your husband that’s decades old and lacks substantial detail and recollection.

It’s not about Kavanaugh’s life dedicated to being a fair, honest, and balance judge in our country’s court system and the track record proving that he is. It’s not about his wife and children who have sacrificed time with him while he fills this exceptionally important roll in our country. It seems to be Democrats derailing a decision to put him in place at the highest court in the nation, who is a threat to their agenda, despite the fact that he’s fair and qualified for the Supreme Court position.

Brett Kavanaugh’s wife, Ashley Estes Kavanaugh, has remained silent under all of these allegations and pressure against her husband. She’s kept her poise and class and should be respected for doing so with all the attention on her family. Much of those perpetuating the negative reports on her husband have been camped outside of her family’s home since the moment the allegation came out.

Undoubtedly, this created some difficult conversations with the Kavanaugh’s two young daughters as to what was happening. Ashley, has likely been forced to bear much of the burden this apparent slander has had on their children as well on herself.

However, shouldering all that pressure with tons of eyes constantly outside her home, she finally stepped outside and put all the stalking reporters to shame. She probably wasn’t prepared for the response she got.

The Daily Caller reports:

When press and camera crews from a number of outlets gathered outside her door — as a sexual assault allegation left the Supreme Court nomination of her husband, Brett Kavanaugh, hanging in the balance — Ashley Estes Kavanaugh delivered cupcakes.

According to at least one reporter, CBS’ Kathryn Watson, Kavanaugh offered up cupcakes from Sprinkles, a cupcake bakery in Georgetown.

Watson’s tweet spurred several reactions. First, people asked, “why are you at his house?” and criticized the media for camping out at his house.

Second, the critics began to attack. A number referenced Christine Blasey Ford — who came forward to accuse Judge Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct when they were both in high school 35 years ago — claiming that Ford was being forced into hiding after receiving a number of threats.

And they contrasted those threats with Ashley Kavanaugh handing out cupcakes.

Others simply saw the move as classy, saying, “only a Southerner would think ‘Oh, you hate my family? Here, have a cupcake.’”

This, again, is proof of grace under fire, as we’ve seen from a number of notable conservative women in the past year. There’s nothing more commendable than fighting off hate with kindness, as we’ve seen in Ashley here today, who must be under tremendous pressure, but walked out into the “lion’s den” with a gift and a smile. That’s remarkable and respectable.
