The nation lost a great leader last Friday evening who was laid to rest yesterday. Former President George H.W. Bush was remembered for his bipartisan leadership of our country, his military service where his life was narrowly spared, and most of all, his genuine compassion for people.
Bush Sr. was surely a great man, beloved by many on both sides of the aisle, except for perhaps New York’s newly elected Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. While many on the Internet spent the day reflecting on the character and accomplishments of the 41st president, Ocasio-Cortez sent out an entirely different message to the country in mourning.
In an attempt to redirect the attention away from Bush Sr and back on herself, the entitled socialist nightmare decided to remind everyone how incredible she is. Only someone as arrogant and narcissistic as Ocasio-Cortez could be so tone deaf as to not see the utter disrespect of sharing such a disgusting message about herself and those who praise her while a war hero and incredible president, who served our nation for decades, was being buried.
It probably didn’t go over as well as she had hoped.
The Boston Globe reports:
The outsiders standing outside at Pressley’s behest — Ocasio-Cortez and Trahan, along with Andy Levin and Rashida Tlaib, both of Michigan — were elected to shake their own party awake, too. They were sent to Washington not to compromise on their values, but to fight for them, to see that they’re not relegated to a shelf.
“I am so thankful that Ayanna is taking up this fight, because God knows we need it,” said Ocasio-Cortez.
It won’t be easy. It’s hard to see how anything of consequence will change over the next two years.
“I have no illusions about how hard it is to craft a forward-facing, lifesaving policy while we are fighting this administration at every corner,” Pressley said.
But for the first time in about two years, hope has a mandate.
And she retweeted two more tweets from supporters talking about how fantastic she is.
For all the naysayers who were skeptical of AOC for her lack of experience – she now has buy-in from 20 of her colleagues for a #GreenNewDeal Select Committee even before swearing in.

On a National Day Of Mourning Ocasio-Cortez could not think about anyone other than herself.
