Trump Just Got Big Last Laugh On WNBA Champs Who Refuse To Go To White House

Published

on

It’s become cool in sports these days to tell everyone within hearing range that you wouldn’t go to the White House even if you were invited. You see it throughout the sports world now. And it doesn’t matter if it’s the pros, college or even high school… everyone is taking a political stance these days. It’s disheartening.

On the top of the heap of irrelevance here comes the WNBA champs, who have not been invited to the White House after their win this year but saw fit to preemptively refuse any invitation coming their way from President Trump. Well, Trump got the last big laugh because I seriously doubt he even considered inviting them. They are utterly irrelevant. This is sheer grandstanding for attention to get their name in the media, which it did.

The Seattle Storm’s team point guard Sue Bird, of course, blabbed to the Seattle Times that they would NEVER accept an invitation from the current occupant of the White House. Great! Their loss and frankly, they were on no one’s radar, to begin with.

“At this point does it even need to be discussed?” Bird told the Seattle Times Friday. “It’s come up. We pay attention to what happened with Minnesota and not getting invited. … We all pay attention to what’s going on.”

How arrogantly pathetic. So much for sportsmanship. The point guard was referring the Minnesota Lynx, which took home the WNBA championship last year and hosted a community service event in Washington, DC, earlier this year after they did not receive a White House invite from President Trump. What is it with these teams? They all seem to have a vastly over-inflated opinion of themselves.

The Storm won their third WNBA title Wednesday night against the Washington Mystics. Meh. Didn’t even know about it… don’t care.

“It’s a huge disappointment,” the 11-time All-Star said. “[It] used to be something that’s really special and something that was an honor and you look forward to.” Well, missy, you don’t deserve it. With that attitude, I wouldn’t have you in my home much less the Peoples’ House.

WNBA championship winning teams frequently visited the White House under former Presidents George W. Bush and Obama. But the disrespect that is shown President Trump makes for an argument to not even bother with the WNBA anymore.

Bird said it’s no longer something to look forward to… gee, wonder why? You mean she doesn’t get it? Bitterly biased and clueless all at once, it’s a twofer!

“There’s an excitement about it. You’re going to the White House. I remember first walking in to meet President Obama and it’s like — just the aura — it’s insane,” Bird continued. “And now it’s, that’s not what the feeling is anymore. It doesn’t feel exciting. Nobody wants to go. It’s totally changed and that’s disappointing because it used to be something that most athletes looked forward to.”

“I think until people see a change it’s probably going to be the norm,” Storm forward Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis said. “I don’t see many people that are going to accept the invitation if they get one.” Well, all I can say is good riddance to bad rubbish. They should never be invited again.

Will Americans even notice that they aren’t visiting the White House? Not many and even fewer will care. Athletes have become so self-centered, arrogant and elitist, they aren’t worthy of visiting the President of the United States.

But they love Obama who was the left’s chosen one. Yes, let’s be groupies for a president that was Marxist in my opinion. Let’s fawn over a guy that was at best a progressive socialist. Maybe while donning a ‘Che’ shirt, or perhaps even ‘Mao’.

This certainly isn’t the first time a team won’t be invited to the White House or even disinvited. Last year, Trump withdrew an invitation for the NBA champion Golden State Warriors after star Stephen Curry said he didn’t want to attend. Wish granted!

The South Carolina women’s basketball team and the North Carolina men’s basketball team, which won NCAA titles in 2017, declined White House invitations. The Notre Dame women’s basketball team and the Villanova men’s basketball teams — the 2018 NCAA champions — have not received invitations.

Earlier this year, NBA star LeBron James also criticized Trump for not inviting the WNBA champions for a visit to the White House, telling reporters that it was “laughable” for the Minnesota Lynx to be excluded. Americans are not laughing, LeBron. Those that show disrespect for their president and for America have no business going to the White House.

This will further destroy the NFL. A sport that Americans once loved. This will only be a disaster for the NFL.

Majority of America is beyond tired of this Anti-American garbage. So..continue on, NFL. You will continue to lose more and more supporters.

Good riddance!

Via Breitbart:

The NFL has announced that it has turned over a large portion of the decision making process for the Super Bowl halftime show, as well as other music and entertainment decisions, to social justice activist and rapper Jay-Z and his Roc Nation entertainment company.

Given the activist politics of Jay-Z and his wife, Beyonce, league entertainment choices will likely be heavily driven by “woke” motivations.

On Tuesday, the NFL announced that it was partnering with Roc Nation for the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show. But subsequent reports have noted that Jay-Z’s entertainment company will have far more responsibilities than just programming the 2020 Super Bowl.

According to ESPN, the league is handing over most of its entertainment decisions to Jay-Z, including, making him the co-producer of the Super Bowl.
The rapper celebrated the move:

“With its global reach, the National Football League has the platform and opportunity to inspire change across the country,” the rapper said in a statement. “Roc Nation has shown that entertainment and enacting change are not mutually exclusive ideas — instead, we unify them. This partnership is an opportunity to strengthen the fabric of communities across America.”

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell also touted the partnership:

“Roc Nation is one of the most globally influential and impactful organizations in entertainment,” Goodell said on Wednesday. “The NFL and Roc Nation share a vision of inspiring meaningful social change across our country. We are thrilled to partner with Roc Nation and look forward to making a difference in our communities together.”

The deal hands Jay-Z responsibility for “creation and distribution of music content across multiple music and streaming services, as well as consult and collaborate on the production, promotion, and marketing of live music events,” ESPN wrote. Continue Reading

These people are supposed to representing our country..and instead, are a total embarrassment. If you don’t love this country.. don’t put on that uniform. In fact, you are free to leave.

What a perfect opportunity for Race Imboden to defect. He should renounce his US citizenship, and say goodbye forever to the country he hates so much.

Men and women have died for our freedom. Precious blood was spilled for this country. If you hate it.. why are you here? Why represent a country you hate? Liberals are hate-filled lunatics.

These people don’t represent us!

Via Breitbart:

A member of the U.S. men’s fencing team took a knee during the Star-Spangled Banner on Friday, at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

Race Imboden an Olympic medalist and member of the U.S. men’s foil team, took a knee after his team won the gold at the games. He also took to Twitter to exclaim how ashamed he is of the United States, the Washington Post reported.

“Racism, Gun Control, mistreatment of immigrants, and a president who spreads hate are at the top of a long list,” Imboden tweeted. “I chose to [sacrifice] my moment today at the top of the podium to call attention to issues that I believe need to be addressed. I encourage others to please use your platforms for empowerment and change”

Imboden now shares a bronze with Canadian Maximilien van Haaster for men’s foil and was part of the U.S. team’s gold win in team foil at this year’s Pan Am Games.

Mark Jones, vice president of communications for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, issued a statement noting that Imboden violated the rules of the games with his protest against the United States.

“Every athlete competing at the 2019 Pan American Games commits to terms of eligibility, including to refrain from demonstrations that are political in nature. In this case, Race didn’t adhere to the commitment he made to the organizing committee and the USOPC,” Jones said.

“We respect his rights to express his viewpoints, but we are disappointed that he chose not to honor his commitment. Our leadership are reviewing what consequences may result,” Jones added.

Imboden’s teammates, Gerek Meinhardt, and Nick Itkin, both stood at attention during the national anthem. Continue Reading
