GAME OVER! Trump Just Made HUGE NFL Move – But Critic Commissioner Is PRAISING Him

Published

on

Uh oh, the Colin Kaepernick’s and Nike’s of the world will be livid after they find out what NFL Roger Goodell just said.

The Daily Mail is reporting that even though President Donald Trump has criticized NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on many occasions, Goodell is now praising the president’s leadership and determination for a part of the new U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement that should prove extremely profitable for the league which keeps losing fans over the National Anthem kneeling controversy.

The new North American trade deal which replaced the old failed North American Free Trade Agreement, still needs congressional approval. But under the new pact, the NFL could earn more from Super Bowl broadcasting rights in Canada. And this is huge considering the NFL has been hampered by a 2015 ruling in Canada stipulating that the Super Bowl must show American advertisements rather than Canadian advertisements.

“We greatly appreciate President Trump’s leadership and determination in bringing about a resolution to our intellectual property issue in Canada,” Goodell said in a statement.

The updated agreement would do away with that stipulation, which would, in turn, allow the NFL to customize advertisements for its Canadian audience instead of being forced to use the same ones which air within the U.S. markets.

Here is more on this via The Washington Post:

“The usually testy relationship between the NFL and President Trump was set aside, at least temporarily, Tuesday when Commissioner Roger Goodell expressed gratitude to Trump for resolving a dispute involving the Super Bowl broadcast on Canadian television to the league’s satisfaction as part of the administration’s new trade deal with Canada and Mexico.

“We greatly appreciate President Trump’s leadership and determination in bringing about a resolution to our intellectual property issue in Canada,” Goodell said in a written statement released by the NFL.

“Canada agreed Sunday to join the trade agreement between the United States and Mexico. The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, or USMCA, is the revised version of the North American Free Trade Agreement that Trump had sought, and it overturns a regulatory order in Canada forcing the CTV network to air American commercials on its Super Bowl broadcast.

“That ruling by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission prevented CTV from increasing its revenue from its Super Bowl telecast by selling ads in Canada.

“The NFL, seeking to preserve the value of its Super Bowl broadcasting rights in Canada, opposed the CRTC order and sought a return to the policy of simultaneous substitution, which allows Canadian TV stations with Canadian broadcasting rights to replace U.S. ads with local Canadian ads during imported programming shown simultaneously with the U.S. telecast.

“The NFL argued that the 2015 order by the CRTC, the Canadian equivalent of the Federal Communications Commission in the United States, was arbitrary and discriminatory by singling out one U.S.-copyrighted program without, in the league’s view, proper notice, comment or evaluation.

“That order by the CRTC was rescinded in a provision of the new trade deal, prompting the NFL’s praise of Trump.

“That provision in the trade deal says that “Canada may not accord the program treatment less favorable than the treatment accorded to other programs originating in the United States retransmitted in Canada.”

“Trump has been sharply critical of Goodell and the league over the NFL’s handling of protests by players during the national anthem. He also has criticized the protesting players in strong terms, beginning last year when he said at a campaign rally that owners should fire any player who protests during the anthem. Trump has returned to the topic regularly over the past year, prompting the league and owners to take his public reactions into account as they deliberated over how to deal with the protests.”

As you can see, the ungrateful players can’t be happy with these developments. They kneel and the president hands the NFL a gift. A gift that the organization simply just doesn’t deserve after they have let players disrespect our flag, our nation, and the police the way the NFL has.

Let’s hope that maybe after this the NFL wakes up and starts to cut players who kneel. And before anyone starts up, this isn’t a freedom of speech issue. It’s an issue of how many rights you have while being paid by an employer and while you are on the clock.

This will further destroy the NFL. A sport that Americans once loved. This will only be a disaster for the NFL.

Majority of America is beyond tired of this Anti-American garbage. So..continue on, NFL. You will continue to lose more and more supporters.

Good riddance!

Via Breitbart:

The NFL has announced that it has turned over a large portion of the decision making process for the Super Bowl halftime show, as well as other music and entertainment decisions, to social justice activist and rapper Jay-Z and his Roc Nation entertainment company.

Given the activist politics of Jay-Z and his wife, Beyonce, league entertainment choices will likely be heavily driven by “woke” motivations.

On Tuesday, the NFL announced that it was partnering with Roc Nation for the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show. But subsequent reports have noted that Jay-Z’s entertainment company will have far more responsibilities than just programming the 2020 Super Bowl.

According to ESPN, the league is handing over most of its entertainment decisions to Jay-Z, including, making him the co-producer of the Super Bowl.
The rapper celebrated the move:

“With its global reach, the National Football League has the platform and opportunity to inspire change across the country,” the rapper said in a statement. “Roc Nation has shown that entertainment and enacting change are not mutually exclusive ideas — instead, we unify them. This partnership is an opportunity to strengthen the fabric of communities across America.”

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell also touted the partnership:

“Roc Nation is one of the most globally influential and impactful organizations in entertainment,” Goodell said on Wednesday. “The NFL and Roc Nation share a vision of inspiring meaningful social change across our country. We are thrilled to partner with Roc Nation and look forward to making a difference in our communities together.”

The deal hands Jay-Z responsibility for “creation and distribution of music content across multiple music and streaming services, as well as consult and collaborate on the production, promotion, and marketing of live music events,” ESPN wrote. Continue Reading

These people are supposed to representing our country..and instead, are a total embarrassment. If you don’t love this country.. don’t put on that uniform. In fact, you are free to leave.

What a perfect opportunity for Race Imboden to defect. He should renounce his US citizenship, and say goodbye forever to the country he hates so much.

Men and women have died for our freedom. Precious blood was spilled for this country. If you hate it.. why are you here? Why represent a country you hate? Liberals are hate-filled lunatics.

These people don’t represent us!

Via Breitbart:

A member of the U.S. men’s fencing team took a knee during the Star-Spangled Banner on Friday, at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

Race Imboden an Olympic medalist and member of the U.S. men’s foil team, took a knee after his team won the gold at the games. He also took to Twitter to exclaim how ashamed he is of the United States, the Washington Post reported.

“Racism, Gun Control, mistreatment of immigrants, and a president who spreads hate are at the top of a long list,” Imboden tweeted. “I chose to [sacrifice] my moment today at the top of the podium to call attention to issues that I believe need to be addressed. I encourage others to please use your platforms for empowerment and change”

Imboden now shares a bronze with Canadian Maximilien van Haaster for men’s foil and was part of the U.S. team’s gold win in team foil at this year’s Pan Am Games.

Mark Jones, vice president of communications for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, issued a statement noting that Imboden violated the rules of the games with his protest against the United States.

“Every athlete competing at the 2019 Pan American Games commits to terms of eligibility, including to refrain from demonstrations that are political in nature. In this case, Race didn’t adhere to the commitment he made to the organizing committee and the USOPC,” Jones said.

“We respect his rights to express his viewpoints, but we are disappointed that he chose not to honor his commitment. Our leadership are reviewing what consequences may result,” Jones added.

Imboden’s teammates, Gerek Meinhardt, and Nick Itkin, both stood at attention during the national anthem. Continue Reading
