Lib Hollywood Failing: Emmy Ratings Plunge To Worst In History

Published

on

Does anyone watch the Emmys anymore? I don’t and I didn’t even know they were on. I wouldn’t have watched anyway but usually, I at least see some promo for them. Not this year. The only praise that the Emmys got this year was from other TV people and Hollywood slapping themselves on the back and getting together for a mutual admiration society love-fest. Americans universally tuned out the Emmys. They are just not into them anymore and with good reason.

The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards on the Fox network hit a record low with a dismal 5.8 household Nielsen rating — a 22% drop from last year, Deadline reported. Last year, the show pulled a 7.4 rating (10.2 million viewers). They dropped by a brutal 33%. Sounds to me like no one is watching anymore at all out there – their viewership has cratered big time.

NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” is not being watched nearly as much anymore because of Colin Kaepernick and his radical stunts, but football crushed the Emmys. Whatever possessed them to put that on the same night as football? It was not a good game either… it featured the undefeated Los Angeles Rams versus the lowly Cleveland Browns. Not much of a match but highly preferred to Hollywood’s narcissists.

From The Daily Wire:

“TV’s biggest night included all the virtue-signaling viewers have come to expect from awards shows like the Oscars and Grammys.

“Michelle Williams, who won her first-ever Emmy for her role as Gwen Verdon in “Fosse/Verdon,” used her time on stage to decry white privilege.

“I want to thank FX and Fox Studios for supporting me completely and for paying me equally because they understood. They understood that when you put value into a person, it empowers that person to get in touch with their own inherent value. And where do they put that value?”

“And so the next time a woman, and especially a woman of color — because she stands to make 52 cents on the dollar compared to her white male counterpart — tells you what she needs in order to do her job, listen to her. Believe her,” she said.

“Actress Patricia Arquette, who won for her supporting role as Dee Dee Blanchard in Hulu’s true-crime limited series “The Act,” brought up her sister, transgender actress Alexis Arquette, who died in 2016 at age 47.

“Trans people are still being persecuted,” she said. “I’m in mourning every day of my life, Alexis, and I will be for the rest of my life for you until we change the world so trans people are not persecuted — and give them jobs. They’re human beings, let’s get rid of this bias we have everywhere,” she said.

“Craig Mazin, creator of “Chernobyl,” ripped President Trump without saying his name.

“I hope that in some small ways our show has helped remind people of the value of the truth and the danger of the lie,” Mazin said onstage Sunday at the Microsoft Theater as he accepted the Outstanding Limited Series award.

“Jesse Armstrong, winning for HBO’s “Succession,” pointed out that a large number of winners were British — and then bashed Trump.

“Quite a lot of British winners. Maybe too many. Maybe you should have a think about those immigration restrictions,” he said. A short time later during his speech, Armstrong was bleeped because he made reference to the “sh**hole countries” that Trump allegedly derided last year, Vulture reported.

“Viewers just keep tuning out awards shows. “Compared to the last time, the TV Academy show was actually on a Sunday, last night’s Emmys took a hit of just over 30% in metered-market ratings from that September 17, 2017 shindig on CBS with a much-criticized appearance by ex-White House Press Secretary and now Dancing With the Stars contestant Sean Spicer,” Deadline wrote.

The 70th Primetime Emmy Awards ended up with a then low of 10.172 million viewers and a 2.4 rating among adults 18-49. The Stephen Colbert hosted Sunday broadcast 69th Primetime Emmy Awards matched the previous year’s then all-time low of 11.38 million tuning in and what was then a demo low of a 2.5 rating.

Fox’s broadcast of the 71st Annual Emmy Awards didn’t have a host, and it also didn’t have many viewers. It was a catastrophic flop for Hollywood elitists. The Emmys are all but dead as a yearly special and it was suicide by partisan politics.

The bottom line is that Americans are sick to death of celebrities and leftist politics. We watch their shows for entertainment, not to get ‘woke’ and lectured on political diversity. We’d rather do without spoon-fed Marxist entertainment via the telly. Everyone enjoys Game of Thrones – their politics… not so much. Stick to acting and stay out of activism. The two don’t mix.

B-List Actors Alyssa Milano & Rosie O’Donnell Head Trump ‘Impeachment Task Force’

You would think this is hilarious satire..but it’s not. Has-been actors truly believe that America looks to them for political advice. I know..I can’t stop laughing.

This is how insane and delusional the left is. Remember how they told us to accept the 2008 election results and just deal with it? Here we are…and they still can’t handle that Trump is President. They stay on twitter for hours..ranting, whining and lying about the President. The left should never ever allowed in power. Let these lunatics be a reminder to you when you go to vote in 2020.

Dear Hollywood has-beens, Americans don’t give a flying crap about what you have to say. You ain’t going to impeach the President. He’s not going anywhere. For the sake of America..go away. Don’t lecture the people about politics. No one looks to you for what’s going on in our country.

Just wait until Trump wins 2020…..

Via The Daily Wire:

If you’re worried about the current state of democracy, fear not: Alyssa Milano, Rosie O’Donnell, and their rich anti-Trump friends are here to save America … by working to remove the duly elected president from office.

Feel better now?

According to a Newsweek report, a group called The Democratic Coalition has created a star-studded “Impeachment Task Force” (seriously) “seeking to hold Trump ‘accountable for his betrayal of America.’”

The task force is “designed to lead rapid response to Trump during the impeachment inquiry,” according to The Democratic Coalition co-founder and Twitter #Resistance king Scott Dworkin.

In addition to Milano and O’Donnell, the group has landed actors Ron Perlman, George Takei, Debra Messing, and Tom Arnold to use their “massive social media following to protect House Democrats in the front lines of the impeachment inquiry on Trump.”

“The task force launched a fundraising effort and basic plan on Thursday. The group has already started meeting and is set to go live with its website next week,” Newsweek reported.

Dworkin pointed to “Trump’s propaganda machine” as motivation in the creation of his elite task force.

“Trump’s propaganda machine is going to be in overdrive for the foreseeable future, so we need to be fighting every day, in every way,” he said.

“For now, impeachment is the only way to hold him accountable for his betrayal of America,” the task force’s chairman Jon Cooper added.

Dworkin is extremely optimistic that his ragtag group of celebs “will without a doubt, absolutely, overpower Trump’s propaganda machine.”

As you might recall, during the 2016 presidential election, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton had scores of celebrities come out to support her publicly — such as Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, LeBron James, Beyoncé, Jay Z, Bruce Springsteen, Robert De Niro, Lady Gaga, Jon Bon Jovi, Meryl Streep, Amy Schumer, and many, many others. As you might also recall, Hillary lost the 2016 election.

But it’s different this time. Or something.

“We’ve been one of the key groups fighting his propaganda machine for three and a half years,” Dworkin bragged. “We’ve learned a lot. And it’s kind of led us to this moment.”

WATCH: Photo Of College Student Praying Over Deputy In Restaurant Goes VIRAL

In today’s highly charged political climate, it’s always nice to have something in the news that isn’t negative. Last weekend, we got some rare, good news for a change.

A sheriff’s deputy & his wife were dining at a restaurant in east-central Florida when they were approached by a young man who asked if he could pray for the officer.

The encounter left the deputy’s wife in tears, and the rest of us cheering.

The Tampa Bay Times reported:

“For all of the venom and vitriol that fill our social media feeds, there are feel-good stories, too.

A reminder came this past weekend, when the wife of a Florida deputy shared a photo on Facebook describing an encounter at a Zaxby’s restaurant in DeLand in which a young man approached her husband, Cameron, and offered to pray over him for his protection.

“Tonight was a night that I will never forget. This picture is a reminder of God’s constant love and perfect timing. Tonight we had an amazing encounter with an incredible young man named Juan. He came up to Cameron and asked is he could pray over him and his protection. After crying my eyes out we got to have an amazing conversation with this gentleman. He was on FIRE for God and you could feel His presence in the room. He said that he had felt compelled to talk to us and to pray over Cameron, Justine Tucker wrote.”

“The man, Juan O’Neal, is a student at Stetson University, according to his Facebook page.

As of Wednesday morning, the post had more than 42,000 reactions, 4,900 comments and 21,000 shares.

The post especially connected with Facebook users thirsting for positive news about people in their community.

“This is one of the main reasons why I stay connected to FB,” responded Reginald D. Alston. “There is love, kindness, compassion, respect, and general sense of caring among most people that seems to take a backseat to negativity and chaos all too often.”

“With everything that is wrong in America today, thank you for sharing this,” wrote Emily Broome Garrison. “It’s proof there’s still so much that is right!”

“People need these stories,” echoed Rachelle Bman.

Said Max Ludwig, “It’s great to wake up and see a beautiful post like this.”

“This gave me goosebumps!” wrote Monica Diaz.

Wondered Robert Cuccio, “Why are there not more stories of wonderful people like Juan?”

Tucker posted a segment from the local Fox station that covered the interaction.

WTVM9 reported of O’Neal:

“O’Neal says he never intended for the photo to go viral. In fact, he didn’t intend for a photo to be taken at all.

He says that he simply wanted to pray over Volusia County Sheriff’s Deputy Cameron Tucker.

“He grew up you know, dad is a [retired] police officer, a [retired] detective with the Columbus Police Department. So he knows some of the struggles, some of the things his dad had to go through,” said Juan’s mother Leisa O’Neal. “So for him to see another officer, he had an instant connection I’m sure, so it’s no big deal. I’m sure he was compelled to pray for him for everything that is going on in the world and the community so I think it was something he felt like he needed to do.”

“I just did what I felt like God was telling me to do,” said Juan O’Neal.

Juan is a senior at Stetson University in Florida. His mother says he is planning on commissioning into the U.S. Army in May.”

While all around us we seem to be bombarded with negativity, it’s great to see some of the next generation who haven’t forgotten what’s important in this life.

Hats off to O’Neal, and may he be successful in his endeavors.
