Lawyer Representing Ukraine Whistleblower Worked For Hillary & Schumer

It certainly is a small, corrupt world anymore. One of the attorneys representing the whistleblower on the Ukraine non-story against President Trump over his asking Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter just happens to have worked for Senators Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Hillary Clinton (D-NY). How cozy.

The Federalist broke this story reporting: “Andrew Bakaj, now a managing partner at the Compass Rose Legal Group, interned for Schumer in the spring of 2001 and for Clinton in the fall of the same year, according to Bakaj’s LinkedIn page.” Bakaj’s resume includes stints at the CIA and Pentagon where he specialized in whistleblower and security clearances. Considering the state of the intel agencies I would say he’s not very good at his job.

From The Daily Wire:

“The anonymous official, although acknowledging a lack of firsthand knowledge of the conversation between Trump and Zelensky, filed the complaint alleging that Trump asked Zelensky to check into the Bidens’ dealings with a Ukrainian energy company.

“Bakaj works for Whistleblower Aid, which was founded by national security defense attorney Mark Zaid and whistleblower John Tye; The Washington Examiner reports that Whistleblower Aid “offers financial help to fired whistleblowers.”

“As The Daily Wire reported earlier on Tuesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Democrats are now “ready” to start the process of impeaching President Donald Trump, claiming have “the facts” and they “can’t” let him “win” reelection. CNN reported that Pelosi stated, “Today, I am announcing the House of Representatives moving forward with an official impeachment inquiry. The President must be held accountable. No one is above the law. Actions taken to date by the President have seriously violated the Constitution.”

“Pelosi continued, “This week, the President has admitted to asking the President of Ukraine to take actions which would benefit him politically. The actions of the Trump presidency revealed the dishonorable fact of the President’s betrayal of his oath of office, betrayal of our national security and betrayal of the integrity of our elections.”

“Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer have a resolution ready that states, “… the President of the United States sought to enlist a foreign government to interfere in our democratic process by investigating one of his political rivals — and may have used the withholding of Congressionally-appropriated foreign assistance days earlier as intimidation.”

“Biden has jumped on the bandwagon calling for impeachment; The Washington Examiner reported on Tuesday, “Joe Biden will publicly use a Tuesday afternoon press conference to back the impeachment of President Trump if he fails to cooperate with Congress over claims by an intelligence community whistleblower about his dealings with Ukraine.”

“A Biden campaign spokesman asserted, “He’s going to make the point that Trump’s latest abuses are on top of all of his prior abuses. He’s going to call on Trump to comply with all of Congress’ outstanding, lawful requests for information — in the Ukraine matter, and in the other investigations — and if Trump does not comply, Congress has no choice but to impeach.”

“Late Tuesday, the Trump administration announced that the administration will be releasing the whistleblower complaint and the Inspector General report to Congress.”

First off, Biden is covering up his and his son’s dealings in Ukraine and he should be exposed for corruption there. Second, Biden knows he does not stand a chance against Trump and this just screams it. How pathetic. Lies, allegations, whispers, and accusations don’t cut it. Prove it or cut bait already.

And while Biden, Pelosi and the Democrats call for impeachment because Trump dared to ask the Ukrainians about Biden’s dealings, how about leading Dems sending a letter threatening Ukrainians in 2018 if they did not work with them to expose Trump over false allegations? Hmmm? Where’s the justice in all of this? Whereas there was no quid pro quo in Trump’s call, there certainly was in the Dem’s letter.

More in-depth coverage from The Washington Examiner:

“The anonymous U.S. intelligence official accusing President Trump of improperly pressuring Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is represented by two lawyers who run a group that offers financial help to fired whistleblowers.

“Whistleblower Aid was launched in September 2017 — eight months after Trump’s inauguration — with an advertising blitz that involved mobile billboards being driven close to the White House, Congress, outside the Pentagon, and around the headquarters of the CIA and National Security Agency.

“The group’s pledge of support, in addition to free legal representation including rent and mortgage assistance, media coaching, and doctor’s bills and counseling, is controversial among lawyers. Critics say it violates attorney ethics.

“Whistleblower Aid was founded by veteran national security defense attorney Mark Zaid and John Tye, a whistleblower who worked to promote internet freedom at the State Department before warning of mass surveillance during the Obama administration. Andrew Bakaj, a former CIA officer who is associated with Zaid’s firm, is also a lawyer for Whistleblower Aid.

“Zaid and Bakaj represent the official who claimed whistleblower status in raising the case of the Ukraine call.

“The official works at one of the 17 separate U.S. government intelligence agencies that are collectively referred to as “the intelligence community.” Democrats say the official’s revelations could justify impeachment if Trump requested that his potential 2020 Democratic challenger be investigated in return for withholding foreign aid.

“It is unclear whether the nonprofit organization has provided assistance to the official or what financial arrangement there is between the official and attorneys Zaid and Bakaj. Whistleblower Aid launched with a $1.5 million donation from Tye.

“Whistleblower Aid describes itself as “a pioneering, non-profit law firm that helps patriotic government employees and brave, private-sector workers report and publicize their concerns” with legal advice that “is confidential, but never ideological or partisan.” Asked in 2017 about the timing of the group’s launch, Tye said, “We want to advise people what to do, whether it’s going to Congress, or an inspector general or Robert Mueller,” referring to the special counsel handling the Russia investigation.

“He added, “This is not a partisan effort. At the same time, yes, the rule of law starts with the office of the president. Like many other people, we are definitely concerned about things that are happening in the administration. The decision to fire [FBI Director] James Comey. The lack of transparency. A lot of people have questions about whether this administration respects the rule of law.”

“Tye told the Washington Examiner that the official who exposed the content of the Ukrainian call to the intelligence community’s inspector general did not connect with their attorneys through Whistleblower Aid’s encrypted communications platform. Asked whether the organization was “providing or standing ready to provide assistance” to the official, he replied, ‘Yes, absolutely.” He did not respond to additional requests for information.”’

As Allie at Right Wing News put it: “Nancy Pelosi announced today that the Democrat-run House was launching a formal impeachment inquiry against President Trump. And now we’re finding out more about who working on the backside of the whole thing. This is going to backfire & it’s going to be absolutely beautiful. This is how desperate the left is. They aren’t very smart. They truly believe that the American people are dumb and won’t find out the truth. The light continues to expose Democrat lies.”

Sunlight is always the best disinfectant in politics and Trump is living proof of that. So, let’s see how the left does when fully exposed. This alone will see Trump serve a second term. It will not end well for the Democrats… grab your popcorn.
