Kavanaugh Just Got Last Laugh On Ford’s Massive GoFundMe ‘Earnings’ – Look Who’s Cashing In!

There has been an enormous amount of support out there for Doctor Christine Blasey Ford, the alleged victim of Judge Kavanaugh who accused him of sexually assaulting her three decades ago. However, there has also been a large amount of support for Judge Kavanaugh and his family in light of all the accusations that have seemingly destroyed their career.

Over $700,00 has been donated to Dr. Blasey Ford’s GoFundMe page for her family, security purposes, and her protection. Both fundraising sites were set up earlier in the month. The money was also for traveling expenses as she prepared to give testimony in Washington D.C.

ABC News,

Kavanaugh has denied all of the allegations. The two campaigns — “Help Christine Blasey Ford” and “Cover Dr. Blasey’s security costs” — had reached more than $700,000 at the time of publication. A number of other campaigns related to her also appear on GoFundMe based on a search of Ford’s name.

“We are working directly with all campaign organizers and guarantee the funds raised will be transferred directly to the Ford family,” Katherine Cichy, a spokeswoman for GoFundMe, told ABC News. “To be very clear, we have designated the Ford Family as the beneficiary of these funds. We cannot take the money out or otherwise direct the funds,” Cichy added.

During Thursday’s hearing, Rachel Mitchell, a veteran sex-crimes prosecutor who questioned Ford on behalf of Republican members of the committee, asked Ford who had paid for her expenses, including the polygraph examination she underwent about her memories of the alleged assault.

“I’m aware that there’s been several GoFundMe sites,” Ford responded. The page for the “Help Christine Blasey Ford” campaign said it was set up on Sept. 18 to support the “Palo Alto mom, a beloved professor and mentor and friend. This fundraiser is sponsored by her neighbors and colleagues.”

At the time of publication, the campaign had raised more than $490,000 from more than 10,700 people and was still accepting donations. The “Cover Dr. Blasey’s security costs” campaign, which was created on Sept. 18, raised $209,987 by 6,658 people over nine days, according to the site. It has closed and is no longer accepting donations.

“My reason for starting this fundraiser is to make concrete the power of collective action in providing security, and therefore support, for Dr. Blasey’s willingness to contribute to a thorough, fair vetting of a nominee for Supreme Court Justice,” that campaign’s organizer, Heidi Feldman, wrote on its page.”

A man named John Hawkins has created a GoFundMe though for Judge Kavanaugh and his family. As of now, there has been $370,000 raised towards the $400,000 goal. The fundraiser was accompanied by a very heartwarming dialogue about why the fundraiser was created to begin with.

The GoFundMe fundraiser read the following,

“Like many decent people from both parties, I have been disgusted by the unsubstantiated 36 year old smears aimed at Brett Kavanaugh. We live in a country where innocent until proven guilty is supposed to mean something; yet Brett Kavanaugh’s reputation is being dragged through the mud while his family is facing non-stop death threats.

This is a horrible way to treat a good man who has dedicated his life to public service. So many unethical people are giving unprovable 36 year old accusations the same weight as 6 FBI background checks, hundreds of hours of hearings and testimony under oath. It is disgraceful.

What I’d like to do is raise money for Brett Kavanaugh’s family to use for security or however they see fit. All of the money collected will go to Brett Kavanaugh’s family or alternately, if they refuse to accept it, to a charity of their choice. I have already reached out to a contact who should be able to put me in touch with Brett Kavanaugh’s family. If he can’t do it, I have plenty of other contacts who should be able to make it happen. I will update this page after I have talked with his family.

I hope you will show your support for a good man who has been treated very, very badly.

Update: I have heard some people say that Brett Kavanaugh is rich and so his family doesn’t need the money. That’s actually not correct. According to Market Watch, “Brett Kavanaugh may become the ‘poorest’ Supreme Court justice .”

Update #2: Some people have asked who I am and how they know that the Kavanaugh family will get the money. My name is John Hawkins. You can read about me here on Right Wing News. My identity has been verified by both Twitter and Facebook. I do weekly columns at PJ Media and have a book out. I am not someone who can fade into the background, so when I tell you that the Kavanaugh family will decide what happens to the money, that is what will happen. I have also been in regular contact with a representative of GoFundMe. All funds will be held by GoFundMe until the family has been contacted and a clear plan has been agreed upon.

Update #3: I’ve reached out to Kavanaugh’s family through three different people and I also called his office and spoke to a secretary about this today. I will let everyone know after I have gotten in touch with them.

Update #4: I have a well connected contact who says he can get me in touch with Kavanaugh’s team. When I have guidance from Kavanaugh’s family, I will update. Also, congrats on taking this fund raiser over $50,000 while Judge Kavanaugh was giving his powerful testimony during the hearing. I’m proud of the success we’ve had and the support we’ve shown for the judge’s family.

Update #5: I have continued reaching out to the judge’s family through different sources, but haven’t yet had any luck reaching them. It has occurred to me that they may not want to be reached until after the judge’s confirmation vote, which would be very understandable. In any case, I will continue reaching out to the judge’s family until I get an answer from them. Last but not least, with everything Judge Kavanaugh is being put through, it is fantastic to see so many people publicly showing their support for his family.

Update #6: The original goal was $100,000. I upped that to $125,000 and then $150,000. After that, I went up to $250,000 and it looks like we’re about to blow past that number as well. It is amazing to see so many good people supporting the family of a good man who has been treated so poorly and I am sure they will be very excited when they see all the support that they’ve gotten.”

Share if you agree with the fundraiser for the Kavanaugh’s.

Share if you think their family has been unfairly treated.

Share if you believe that this money is going to a good cause.

House Dems: Trump’s ‘Go Back’ Comments ‘Politically Brilliant – He Won This One’ – CNN

You gotta love how the left and Never Trumpers focus on “Send her back!” chant..yet. you hear nothing about the terror attacks committed by Antifa. Nothing wrong with the chant. The American people are tired of the constant anti-American hatred spewed by the left on a daily basis.

Trump supporters have been insulted, beaten, spit on, kicked out of restaurants and harassed daily. Since Trump has been in office…conservatives have been called every name in the book. Nazis, fascists, racists, bigots. But the left and never Trumpers want to focus on a chant. It’s amazing how the left is given a free pass on everything they do.

If you severely hate this country..do us a favor…leave!

Via The Daily Wire:

According to CNN, multiple House Democrats “from across the political spectrum” are “extremely frustrated” by the heightened focus on the so-called “Squad” of far-left freshmen Democrats, a development forced by President Trump’s escalating rhetoric against them in a move one of the lawmakers described as “politically brilliant.”

In a report published Wednesday after the Trump rally in North Carolina — which included a headline-grabbing moment in which some in the crowd began to chant “Send her back!” in response to Trump’s criticism of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for her “vicious anti-Semitic screeds” — CNN’s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash reported on the growing frustration among some of the House Democrats over the increased prominence of the “Squad”: Reps. Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA).

The conversations with several Democrats, whom Tapper and Bash stress span the political spectrum, took place over the last few days — and before the North Carolina rally.

“The President won this one,” one House Democrat told CNN in reference to Trump’s focus on the Squad and the Democrats vote Tuesday to condemn his “go back” comments. “What the President has done is politically brilliant. Pelosi was trying to marginalize these folks, and the President has now identified the entire party with them.”

“The President’s words and actions speak for themselves,” said another. “We need to focus on the issues that got (Democrats) here: jobs, health care … instead of the issues the President brings up deliberately. Anything that takes away from bread-and-butter issues is playing into his hands.”

Another “frustrated” Democratic lawmaker made clear to CNN that many on the left side of the aisle are “angry and annoyed” by The Squad’s attacks on members of their own party. “I can’t tell you the number of members who are angry and annoyed about them criticizing us,” the congressional member said.

The sharp escalation of the battle between Trump and the Squad began last week when the president came to the defense of Pelosi after Ocasio-Cortez suggested that the speaker’s rebuke of the Squad for portraying fellow Democrats as pro-segregation might have a racial component. Continue Reading

Dem Congressman Wants To Ban The Phrase ‘Illegal Alien’ From Gov’t Code

Published

on

Texas Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro, the twin to Julian Castro who is running on the Democratic ticket for president in 2020, is moving to strike the words “alien” and “illegal alien” from the government’s legal code, arguing that the terms are hurtful to the immigrant community. I think what ruffles him most is the word ‘illegal’ which they are.

“Words matter. It’s vital that we respect the dignity of immigrants fleeing violence and prosecution in our language. The words ‘alien’ and ‘illegal alien’ work to demonize and dehumanize the migrant community. They should have no place in our government’s description of human beings,” Castro stated. What part of ‘illegal’ doesn’t this guy get?

The Correcting Alienating Names in Government Act, otherwise known as the CHANGE Act (figures), seeks to strike those two words from the Immigration and Nationality Act and to replace them with the words “foreign national” and “undocumented foreign national.” The excuse du jour here is that it would make illegal immigrants safer and humanize them. What a load of horse manure. It’s evidently inhumane to accuse someone of breaking the law when that is exactly what they are doing.

“Immigrants come to our borders in good faith and work hard for the opportunity to achieve a better life for themselves and their family. Eliminating this language from government expression puts us one step closer to preserving their dignity and ensuring their safety,” Castro went on in a released statement.

From The Daily Caller:

“Castro is far from the only Democratic congressman to believe the words “illegal alien” are offensive.

“First, no one is illegal. That term is derogatory now because it dehumanizes people. You can say any other forms of maybe ‘coming in without any regulations’ or so forth, but the use of ‘illegal’ is disrespectful and I ask my colleagues to try in so many ways to not dehumanize our immigrant neighbors who are trying to come in for safe haven,” Democratic Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib said during a House committee hearing on July 12.

“No one is an ‘alien.’ This is family separation on a massive scale,” Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar tweeted in June. “Dehumanizing immigrants and tearing apart families will not make us any stronger. It will only destroy lives, traumatize children, and make our country less safe.”

“Omar said President Donald Trump uses the words “illegal” and “alien” to “justify horrific human rights abuses against migrants.”

“Despite criticism from Democratic politicians, most Americans are still very comfortable with the word. Only 26% of respondents to a June Rasmussen poll answered “yes” when asked, “Is it offensive to refer to someone who has entered this country illegally as ‘an illegal immigrant’?” including only 30% of Democrats.”

I think the labels ‘illegal alien’ and ‘illegal immigrant’ are very accurate. Most Americans agree with me.

It’s no surprise that Joaquin’s twin brother agrees with this move. Marxists of a feather and all that. But Americans, in general, won’t go for it and it will never get through Congress.

The Associated Press stylebook removed usage of the term “illegal immigrant” in 2013, saying that “illegal” should “describe only an action, such as living in or immigrating to a country illegally.” The AP also rejected the usage of “illegal alien” as well as “undocumented,” which it said was not an accurate term. And this is one of the main reasons that Americans no longer trust the mainstream media – they don’t like being manipulated like this.

Townhall says that PJ Media’s Tyler O’Neil accurately describes the bill as if it is something right out of 1984. And he is right.

“Democrats have launched an assault on basic language when it comes to immigration issues. They have demonized the Trump administration, blaming it for putting “kids in cages” — something that only happened on Obama’s watch — and for enforcing immigration law.

“Democrats have insisted that “no one is illegal,” even if they break U.S. law to enter the country. This involves an Orwellian redefinition of immigration — claiming immigrants cannot be “illegal” because to be illegal is supposedly less than human.”

Remember, the left did the same thing in regards to radical Islamism – when Obama was in charge, the DoD and other agencies scrubbed terminology that the left claimed was offensive to Muslims. Terms that actually were used to describe terrorists. This is yet another instance of word-burning… censorship to fit a political narrative. 1984 indeed.
