California has been on a rocket ride to apocalypse for some time now. One of the things they have done over the years to speed that up even further is elect Gov. Jerry Brown. He’s been nothing but a sheer disaster for the state. Instead of saving the Golden State from impending doom, Brown tied an anchor around California’s neck and gave it a solid push off a cliff.
Oblivious to signing California’s death warrant and signaling the end of any semblance of civil society and safety, Brown just used his executive power to issue 36 more gubernatorial pardons on Friday. That hit an all-time record of 1,018 pardons in eight years. Putting that into perspective, his number of pardons is greater than the combined number of felons pardoned by governors in that state over the last three decades.
Brown has in total pardoned 850 felons during his time in office. The governor is also expected to add to the total before leaving office, with his tradition of granting executive clemencies on Christmas Eve. Perhaps he’ll set free a few serial killers just for kicks.
It gets even more bizarre. 22 of those pardoned were for murder and 13 were for attempted murder or manslaughter. Brown said each of the pardons he provided went to individuals that had “demonstrated exemplary behavior” and lived “productive and law-abiding lives” following their convictions and time served in prison, according to the Fresno Bee.
I’m sure the families of victims, as well as some of the victims themselves who survived the attacks from these monsters, will take cold comfort in Brown’s summation that these killers were good people while behind bars.
There are many things I truly abhor about Jerry Brown. They include crushing taxation and regulations, putting illegal aliens and criminals first, climate change hysteria and a devotion to Marxist big government. But setting free a bunch of blood-thirsty wolves back among the sheep isn’t a stab at reform, it’s a recipe for an all-you-can-eat victim buffet.
You will not be surprised whatsoever to learn that at least three of Brown’s August pardons were for legal Cambodian refugees facing deportation for committing violent felonies. Brown also moved in December of last year to grant pardons to two other Cambodian men picked up in October immigration sweeps in Modesto and Davis, according to the Sacramento Bee.
“One of Friday’s pardons went to Vanna In, 43, who entered the United States legally at the age of 3 as a refugee of the Cambodian Khmer Rouge. Mr. In was sentenced on October 24, 1994, at the age of 17 for murdering a rival gang member in Fresno. He served six years in the California Youth Authority and was released in 2001, but lost his legal residency and was about to be deported for committing a violent offense, according to the Fresno Bee.
“Gov. Brown supposedly learned of Mr. In through a change.org petition drive. After being released from the Youth Authority 17 years ago, Vanna In earned a master’s degree from Fresno’s Pacific Biblical Seminary and has worked as an ordained minister in vocational placement counseling with a local chapter of Hope Now For Youth.
“Brown praised Vanna for living “[a]n honest and upright life.” The pardon does not guarantee that Rev. In will recover his legal residency and avoid deportation, but the Bee reported it may help get an immigration judge [to] overturn the order.
“Brown also issued 31 commutations of sentence on Friday that will result in early releases from California prisons.”
The left is laughingly describing Brown’s moves here as acts of mercy to frustrate the Trump administration’s efforts to detain and deport immigrants with felony convictions that by law can result in the loss of legal residency status. I’m pretty sure that is true and I am also quite certain that if Brown thought he could get away with it he’d empty all the prisons period.
Pardoning felons, especially illegal alien felons, is just the natural progression from declaring California as a sanctuary state and obstructing the duties of ICE. All of this should terrify and infuriate Californians, but instead, you see many of them cheer the worst of the worst being released back into the fold to kill and terrorize at will. SMH. What could possibly go wrong?
Forget about the restoration of the rule of law, Brown is down with the oppressed felons out there! The left is constantly churning up sympathy for those breaking the law but what about those living by the law? Where is their sympathy as innocent blood is spilled by the demons the left sets loose? Brown in his liberal tone-deafness is signaling the end of California as it further devolves into a lawless Mad Max wasteland.

VIDEO: Rashida Tlaib: Dems Discussing Arresting Trump Officials
It’s crystal clear..that the left should never ever be allowed into our government. These are dangerous folks.
Maybe Rashida should be arrested for her connections to Islamic terrorists. The fact that this woman is in our government…is despicable!
Via The Daily Wire:
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) stated on Tuesday that House Democrats were discussing behind closed doors how to arrest the members of President Donald Trump’s administration who did not comply with congressional subpoenas.
“Let me tell you, this is pretty — and this is the last caucus conversation we had. Do you know this is really unprecedented? This is the worst time we’ve ever had a situation like this,” Tlaib said during a town hall meeting. “So they’re trying to figure out — no joke — they’re trying to figure out, ‘Well, is it the D.C. police that goes and gets them?’ No, no.”
“What are we hoping? I mean, I’m not in those kinds of conversations, but I’m asking, like, you know, what happens? And they’re like, ‘Well, Rashida, we’re trying to figure it out ourselves because this is uncharted territory,’” she continued. “No, I’m telling you that they’re trying to be like, ‘Well, where are we going to put them? Where are we going to hold them?’ No, I mean those are the kinds of things they’re trying to tread carefully.”

Accordingly, in an escalating effort to force White House officials comply with congressional subpoenas, House Democrats have reportedly been reexamining holding those members of the administration in inherent contempt — a power that the legislature has not used since 1935.
The Conservative Partnership Institute (CPI) explains that inherent contempt is the oldest of three strategies that Congress can use to enforce subpoenas. According to the Washington, D.C.-based think tank:
“Since 1935, Congress has relied on the executive and judicial branches when people refuse to comply with congressional subpoenas. This practice makes sense: if Congress cannot get the information it needs on its own authority, then it can rely on the authority of the other branches of government. However, there is another option. Instead of turning to another branch, Congress can legally imprison or fine individuals who refuse to comply.”
Tlaib incorrectly suggested that the process could be enforced by the Washington, D.C. Police Department — the procedure actually only involves the chamber that is concerned. Following a contempt citation, the individual is arrested by the chamber’s sergeant-at-arms, and subsequently brought to the floor for punishment, which may include imprisonment.
