Report: Some ‘Infuriated’ House Dems Want To Make Ocasio-Cortez ‘One-Term Congressperson’

Published

on

It seems that not every Democrat is happy with this brain-less socialist. Democratic freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has made her presence known among her fellow colleagues in these first few short weeks on Capitol Hill… and that’s not really a good thing, according to some recent reports.

After taking out an incumbent Democrat who many believed would follow Nancy Pelosi as Democratic House Speaker, Ocasio-Cortez has announced to the world that she has partnered with far-left progressive group Justice Democrats, whose sole focus is primarying establishment Democrats who aren’t sufficiently liberal or “representative” of the Democrats’ increasingly “diverse” base.

“We as Justice Democrats have the chance to really transform the Democratic Party running in competitive primary elections in Democratic-held seats,” one of the group’s leaders said in a recent promotional video for their campaign to primary Democrat incumbents. “One of the important things that gets told in order to like settle us down is, ‘I agree with you. We have the same goals,”’ Ocasio-Cortez added. “It’s great that everyone thinks these issues are important. We need to make them urgent.” That “urgency” requires new faces and voices, like hers, ready to make radical changes now — which means ousting insufficiently radical incumbent Democrats.

According to The Hill, Ocasio-Cortez’s call for more radical candidates to take out her fellow Democrats has “infuriated” her colleagues, some of whom are already floating the idea of finding a primary challenger who can make the youngest woman to ever be elected to Congress a “one-term congressperson.”

“At least one House Democrat has been privately urging members of the New York delegation to recruit a local politician from the Bronx or Queens to challenge Ocasio-Cortez,” The Hill’s Scott Wong reports.

“What I have recommended to the New York delegation is that you find her a primary opponent and make her a one-term congressperson,” the Democratic lawmaker told the outlet on condition of anonymity. “You’ve got numerous council people and state legislators who’ve been waiting 20 years for that seat. I’m sure they can find numerous people who want that seat in that district.”

Wong reports that among those who have begun to look sideways at the freshman representative are “many” Congressional Black Caucus members. “Many New York and Congressional Black Caucus lawmakers were also furious with Ocasio-Cortez after a recent Politico report stated she and the grass-roots group aligned with her, Justice Democrats, were considering backing a primary challenge to fellow New York Democrat Hakeem Jeffries, a Black Caucus member and establishment insider who succeeded Crowley as caucus chairman,” Wong writes.

For now, reports Wong, her fellow Democrats are playing nice, at least on the surface. Black Caucus member Rep. Gregory Meeks’ (NY) public comments on the newly elected congresswoman demonstrate the kind of skepticism underlying his and his colleagues’ approach to AOC.

“We are going to see what happens,” Meeks said in an interview. Though he said he is giving her “the benefit of the doubt” and “the presumption of innocence,” he made clear that she’ll only continue to get that if she is a “team player.” “I can only tell you that the times I’ve spoken to her, and at the times she’s been at the New York delegation meetings, she’s been cooperative and wants to be a team player,” he said. “That’s what she said, so you gotta take her at her word until something changes.”

She’s also reportedly angered some among the Congressional Hispanic Caucus with her plan to help the Justice Democrats take out centrist incumbent Dem. Henry Cuellar (TX). “We’re going to protect our members and we’re going to protect our own. Full stop,” said former Hispanic Caucus whip Rep. Pete Aguilar (CA), Wong notes. “There are plenty of [swing] races and seats that we can play in, and we want to devote our resources to that.”

Gotta love when Millionaire communists lecture you on what you can and can’t do. Good thing he will never be elected President!

Via The Daily Caller:

2020 candidate and self-described democratic socialist Bernie Sanders said that the United States has to stop using gasoline and coal, and that “there ain’t no middle ground” on the issue.

“It is no secret that we must transition away from fossil fuels, period. End of discussion. There ain’t no middle ground…There is no middle ground,” Sanders said during a speech Thursday in California.

The Independent Vermont senator released a climate plan Thursday modeled after the “Green New Deal” that called for $16 trillion in new spending to fight climate change.

A key part of the plan is “Justice for frontline communities,” which refers to “under-resourced groups, communities of color, Native Americans, people with disabilities, children and the elderly – to recover from, and prepare for, the climate impacts, including through a $40 billion Climate Justice Resiliency Fund.”

Sanders’ plan, which is modeled as a “Green New Deal,” also targets “environmental racism.”

“The Green New Deal must serve to address modern and historical inequities and environmental racism,” it reads.

Sanders has sought to separate himself from the field of other 2020 Democratic contenders by proposing far-left plans on a variety of issues.

On health care, Sanders supports a “Medicare for All” style plan which would eliminate private health insurance plans and give free health care to illegal immigrants. Continue Reading

Bernie Sanders Says His $16-Trillion Green New Deal-Like Plan Will Create 20 Million Jobs

Via Daily Caller:

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders introduced a $16.3-trillion plan similar to the Green New Deal on Thursday, which he says will create 20 million jobs.

The plan aims to make 100% of energy for U.S. electricity and transportation renewable by 2030 and have “complete decarbonization” by 2050, according to its outline.

“As President, Bernie Sanders will boldly embrace the moral imperative of climate change and mobilize the political will necessary for a wholesale transformation of our society, with massive investments in sustainable energy, energy efficiency, and a transformation of our transportation system,” his plan reads. Dem Rep Says We Need Illegal Immigrants To Mow ‘Our Beautiful Lawns’ – WATCH

That is some serious white supremacy right there. The Democrats racist colors always show. They can’t hide that for long…and they sure make it clear on how they love slaves.

It isn’t conservatives that are racist…it’s the Democrat party!

Via The Daily Wire:

Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-NJ) explained to his constituents earlier in the week that illegal immigrants are necessary members of New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District because they are willing to take on the jobs that the community’s teenagers will no longer do.

“We have to think about the jobs because the reason this happens is because there are a lot of jobs in our community that, like it or not, for better or worse, Americans are not willing to take,” Malinowski told the crowd while appearing at a town hall meeting.

“I mean, who do you think is taking care of our seniors? Fifty percent of the eldercare workers in the state of New Jersey are immigrants, most of them legal — most of them documented — but certainly some of them are not,” he continued. “Who do you think is mowing our beautiful lawns in Somerset County? We don’t usually ask but a lot of those workers are undocumented.”

Watch:

Malinowski contended that the illegal immigrants residing in the area are able to fill the gap as teenagers who historically have been working menial jobs are now focused more on a white collar education in the technology sector.

“There just aren’t a lot of kids who — sorry — are from Montgomery High [School], who are going to be doing that full time,” the Democratic lawmaker said. “You guys are going into robotics, for goodness sake.”

Malinowski’s controversial comments come as he prepares to seek a second term in the congressional swing district. The freshman congressman, who previously served as the Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor under former President Barack Obama, successfully flipped his red district blue during the 2018 midterm elections after he edged out longtime incumbent Rep. Leonard Lance (R-NJ).

Four of New Jersey’s twelve House districts were won by Democrats after decades of being reliably red, including Malinowski’s newly acquired seat. Continue Reading
