He SURVIVED Pearl Harbor But When His Wife Got Dementia He Did Something INCREDIBLE!

Love stories today are elaborate. There seems to be a requirement that people make grand gestures and promises of everlasting happiness. And then there’s the proposal; if it doesn’t include a flash mob and at least 5,000 balloons, you might as well not even tell the story, because it just won’t get enough Facebook likes. As we all know, a whole lot of these relationships are just as shallow as the gestures, and many don’t pan out.

It wasn’t always that way though; there was a time when people committed to one another and realized that true love was a choice. The choice you make every time your significant other angers you, the choice when there is a lot more poorer than there is richer and a lot more sickness than health. It looks like commitment and feels like hard work, but the payoff is something that those who experience will always tell you is worth it.

That is the love that was displayed by one loving East Texas husband named Paul, when the love of his life, Martha, was fighting a long, hard battle with dementia. If you’re not familiar with the illness, it’s a creeping degeneration that causes those affected to forget everyone they once knew and loved, until they are often scared and confused.

Paul and Martha’s beautiful love story was put on social media after Martha’s passing so that the rest of the world could be reminded of what real love looks like:

In my hometown, this gentleman went and sat every day with his wife, who suffered from dementia. She passed away last July.

Paul’s words about his wife, Martha:

‘We kind of grew up together because our families went to the same church, but I didn’t really start talking to her until I was in the Navy. We started writing each other when I was stationed at Pearl Harbor. One day, a buddy of mine and I were walking around, and we came across a woman who was selling engagement ring sets. Well, I had no interest and neither did my buddy because, you know, we had no plans to get married anytime soon; but that woman talked us into looking at the rings, and we ended up buying a set. I held onto mine for a long time while Martha and I kept writing each other; until one day, I just decided to mail the ring to her. A few days later, I called her up and asked her if she got anything in the mail from me; and well, the rest is history. It was 57 years, last December. I came to sit with her every day and wave at the cars passing by. We’ve had a lot of adventures together—and she loved me through it all.’ “

This couple showed the world the kind of commitment that used to be standard but is now far too seldom seen now. Everyone seems so caught up in chasing their own happiness, that they miss the greatest source of happiness and fulfillment; a life filled with love, commitment found in serving one another.

Some of the comments on the Facebook post showed just how much people will miss Martha, and how much they appreciate all her husband did for her:

“That’s old school married. I’d love to see it make a comeback in today’s throw away society.”

“We loved seeing them together. Broke our heart when we drove by and they weren’t there. We knew then she had passed.”

“Yeap it’s old school, I meet my mate while he was in the Marines [sic]. From the day we meet it’s was only 9 days till we got married. Thirty days later he shipped out to Vietnam for 15 months. We have been married 52 1/2 years, we are still best friends.”

“That’s the way it’s supposed to be. Love without a question. Love without needing a response. God’s Will.”

May each and every one of experience this kind of unconditional Christlike love at some point in our lives, and may we make it our mission to show it to others.

Pope Francis: ‘Builders Of Walls Will End Up Becoming Prisoners Of Them’

Those who know me, know that I am no fan of the current Pope, Red Francis. I really believe he is an adherent of Marxist Liberation Theology. He is once again speaking out against President Trump and border security. Frankly, it’s none of the Pope’s business and his mandate seems hypocritical to me.

“Builders of walls, be they made of razor wire or bricks, will end up becoming prisoners of the walls they build,” Pope Francis told reporters aboard the papal plane, according to CNN. “This is history.”

Nice talk coming from a Pope who has walls surrounding the Vatican. If he’s so opposed to them, why are they still standing? Is the Pope a prisoner? Were his predecessors? Walls don’t surround the entire city but a good part of it.

In 2016, shortly after Pope Francis called Donald Trump’s plan to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexican border “not Christian,” Trump’s campaign was ready with a response: “Isn’t Vatican City, the Catholic Church’s 110-acre sovereign state, surrounded by walls?” ”

Amazing comments from the Pope — considering Vatican City is 100% surrounded by massive walls,” tweeted Dan Scavino, the Trump campaign’s director of social media and a senior adviser at the time.

President Trump was not impressed by the Pope’s double-standard here and his criticism of him and his faith: “No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man’s religion or faith,” Trump said, calling the Pope’s remarks “disgraceful.” I agreed then and still do. That was out of line even for the Pope.

Pope Francis says he wept after a Spanish journalist showed a piece of concertina wire from Spain’s North African enclave of Ceuta, which borders Morocco. “I realize that with this problem (of migration), a government has a hot potato in its hands, but it must be resolved differently, humanely, not with razor wire,” he stated.

One wonders if the Pope weeps for those killed by these migrants. Does he shed a tear for the women raped and subjugated as well? Because if he does, I have never heard him speak of it.

And here comes the Marxism… from The Daily Wire:

“According to CNBC, the pope’s statements echoed those he made to Moroccan leaders on Sunday, when he said that only social justice will correct the world’s economic imbalances. “With fear, we will not move forward; with walls, we will remain closed within these walls,” he said.

“This marks the second time this year that Pope Francis has emphatically denounced walls for use of border security — a running theme throughout his pontificate. When returning from a trip to Panama in January, he said that fear of migrants is making people crazy.

“It is the fear that makes us crazy,” Pope Francis said after reportedly calling a border wall a “folly.”

“Pope Francis has been an outspoken critic of Donald Trump’s stance on immigration since he first announced his candidacy. During the 2016 presidential campaign, Francis famously showed more hostility to the candidate promising a pro-life/pro-religious agenda than he did to the pro-abortion Hillary Clinton. At one point, the pope suggested that President Trump is not even a real Christian due to his desiring the building of border walls.

“A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian. This is not in the Gospel,” said Pope Francis of President Trump’s policies.

“In November 2018, as the migrant caravan from Honduras made its way toward the U.S. southern border just in time for the midterm elections, Pope Francis showed support for migrants and even expressed appreciation for their need to “pile up.”

“Another phenomenon of migrants – let’s think of the caravan that goes from Honduras to the United States – is to pile up. The migrant usually tries to go in groups. Sometimes it has to go alone, but it is normal to pile up, because we feel stronger in migration. And there is the community. In football there is the possibility of a ‘free agent,’ that can move according to the opportunities, but from you there is no possibility, the ‘free agent’ from you fail. Always the community. Always in the community, because your vocation is precisely for migrants who pile up. Feel migrants. Feel, yes, migrants facing needs, migrants before the Lord, migrants among you. And for this the need to pile up.

“In the same speech, Pope Francis focused on how nations need to foster the virtue of welcoming strangers or risk their own demise.

“It’s easier to welcome a stranger than to be welcomed, and you have to do both,” said Pope Francis. “You must teach, help welcome the stranger, and give all the possibilities to the nations that have everything or enough to use these four words that you have said. How to welcome a foreigner.”‘

I am all for helping those in need and for legal immigration. But if they come here illegally and break our laws, they should not be allowed in. Christian charity does not include a suicide clause.

“This shared commitment is needed in order to avoid presenting new opportunities to those merchants of the human flesh who exploit the dreams and needs of migrants,” he told a gathering at the Catholic-run Caritas charity in Morroco. How about exploiting those who are victims of these ‘beloved’ migrants? Does the Pope center his heart around those murdered by drug dealers, illegal immigrants, terrorists, gang bangers, and those that peddle evil because our borders are not secure? Where is your love for those people? Your humanity? Or do you only care for the politically afflicted? Just wondering.

Perhaps the church would be more well-served if the Christian faith was equal for all under Pope Francis and if he left Marxism out of his religious teachings. After all, preachers of Marxism, in the end, become prisoners of communism.

House Dems To Strike ‘So Help Me God’ From Oath

The party of evil strikes again.

Democrat-controlled House of Representatives is moving to eliminate the God reference from the oath administered to witnesses testifying before the panel, as part of a new rules package expected to be approved this week, according to a draft obtained exclusively by Fox News.

The draft reveals that the House Committee on Natural Resources would ask witnesses to recite only, “Do you solemnly swear or affirm, under penalty of law, that the testimony that you are about to give is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?”

The rules proposal places the words “so help you God” in red brackets, indicating they are slated to be cut. The words “under penalty of law” are in red text, indicating that Democrats propose to add that phrasing to the oath.

The draft rules also remove the phrase “his or her” throughout the document, changing those two pronouns to “their.” The rules additionally modify all references to the committee’s “Chairman” to instead refer only to the committee’s “Chair.”

Other rules changes relate to expanding the committee’s authority over natural gas in Alaska and fossil-fuel resources.

While many federal oaths include the phrase “so help me God,” some — most notably the presidential oath of office — do not.

The full committee is set to vote on the new language this week, and the rules would take effect immediately if adopted. Other committees were still in the process of finalizing their rules on Monday.

“It is incredible, but not surprising, that the Democrats would try to remove God from committee proceedings in one of their first acts in the majority,” House Republican Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., told Fox News. “They really have become the party of Karl Marx.”

The proposed change has not been the first time wicked Democrats have sought to strike references to God in official party documents. In 2012, the floor of the Democratic National Convention erupted over a sudden move to restore to the platform a reference to God and recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital — after heavy criticism from Republicans for initially omitting them. Democrats, though, were hardly in agreement over the reversal.

“That they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” ? First they take away the Creator and then they take away the Rights.

The Democrats have proven time and time again they are a godless lot. Democrats only use God and the Bible when they believe it wins them votes. These people will remove all good things from America. I mean..we are talking a party that believes in ripping the unborn apart.

The left’s religion is government. They hate all that is good and will do everything in their power to remove that good.

So help me Satan is more up their alley.
