Growing up, I was taught to revere the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance. I was schooled in how to love my country, honor our heroes and to respect our leaders. My, how times have changed.
Those days don’t come back evidently and the America that I have cherished and loved my entire life is almost unrecognizable these days. Except for pockets of middle America. They still love the flag, the National Anthem, their country, our heroes and apple pie in places where a day’s hard work is a badge of honor. Not something to be ashamed of.
The National Anthem has become a controversial topic these days with football players kneeling and raising revolutionary fists to fight a non-existent (in my opinion) oppression. And what is even worse, a great deal of America seems to not see anything wrong with it and many people even agree with the sentiment that embodies hatred of America, police, veterans and our flag. SMH.
Of course, President Trump and conservatives are outraged by this but that doesn’t seem to give the movement much pause. You can’t just hold your hand over your heart and profess your love of country anymore… no, you have to take a political stand. It makes me want to cry. And if that pierces my soul imagine how it rips the heart out of those who fought and bled for America.
One of the reasons I have always loved Idaho is that they know what is real… what is worth fighting and dying for. They aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty from work and they love what America is with all their heart and soul. One farmer just proved that by stopping, looking across a field and putting his hand over his heart. He’s someone the leftist elitists would look down on and dismiss. He is the epitome of the forgotten man.
When the Farmer stops farming to stand for the national anthem at our soccer game ??? Vallivue vs Middleton on…
A photo was snapped on the 17th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks and it is going viral. The pic reminds people of a simpler time in America. A throwback to Reagan and before… when we weren’t all plugged in and outraged over every perceived injustice.
From the Conservative Tribune:
“Before a girls’ soccer game in Caldwell, Idaho, the crowd faced a half-mast flag during the anthem … and in a field adjacent to the sports arena, a simply-dressed farmer stopped his work and parked his tractor to respectfully stand in unison.
“When the farmer stops farming to stand for the National Anthem at our soccer game,” posted a fan page of the Vallivue High School soccer team.
“The simple post had over 28,000 shares on Facebook at the time of this article’s publication.
“Caldwell is a town of about 46,000 people in Canyon County, Idaho. The city has a rich agricultural history that goes back to the late 1800’s.
“At this time, not much is known about the farmer who decided to pause his work to respect the National Anthem at the nearby school. He appears to be a young man, and his clean-cut appearance and bearing prompted several online commenters to wonder if he had served in the military.
“It was a simple gesture, but one that stands in stark contrast against the self-absorbed preening of professional athletes today. While protesters in the NFL seem to seek attention from cameras, the farmer in the viral photo most likely had no idea that he was captured in the shot by a long-range lens.
“In a lot of ways, he perfectly represents the heartland America that so many of us know: hardworking, honest, patriotic.
“That heartland is the backbone of our country, yet is seen as “flyover country” by far too many elitists. While politicians and busy-bodies are trying to tell the rest of the country what to do, they could learn a few things by getting their hands dirty in places like Idaho.”
Caldwell, Idaho is a wonderful and patriotic community. The farmer is probably pretty much cut from the same cloth as painters, construction workers, police officers, veterans, first responders and all others in the community. If they were near the National Anthem playing, you would most likely see them pause their work and put their hand over their heart while standing to honor the National Anthem and America.
Instead of obsessing over Nikes, perhaps America should pay more attention to the mud-caked boots of those who have made this the greatest nation on earth. Just a thought.
A thousand of these overpaid athletes, who show their disdain for the National Anthem, simply aren’t worth even one of these farmers. Frankly, I’d rather watch the fields be tilled any day of the week than watch football players who embrace hate and bigotry. That farmer just put those kneeling NFL players to shame big time.
Go watch a kid’s soccer game or a local football game. Most likely, they won’t kneel and you will feel good about things once more. What you see in the NFL is not who America is. It never will be.
9/11 was a day of remembrance. For many, there is still grief that fills Americans’ hearts over the loss of loved ones and friends on that fateful Tuesday morning seventeen years ago. It’s worth remembering all our heroes who truly make this country great. These are people in jeans and T-shirts… who aren’t perfect by any means and most aren’t wealthy. But they are true Americans and they are true slices of Americana.

Trans Athlete Wins Two Gold Medals At 2019 Pacific Games
It’s time that women athletes fight against this insanity. We have young women that have spent years training..only to have that chance of winning taken from them and given to a man. A man who can’t beat other men. These medals should be taken away.
Where all these so-called feminists? Amazing how you don’t see them boycotting against this.
The root cause of this insanity is organizations and groups that allow them to do it…that think they’re being ‘tolerant’ and ‘inclusive’.
As long as these mentally sick people are allowed then it will keep happening. They are trying to normalize this behavior. We are in a full culture war, folks.
Via The Daily Wire:
Over the weekend, a man who identifies as a woman won two gold medals at the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa.
Laurel Hubbard, 41, formerly Gavin Hubbard, “won two gold medals and a silver in the three heavyweight categories, for women weighing more than 87 kilograms, or 192 pounds, finishing first in the snatch-lift and combined categories and second in the clean-and-jerk,” The Washington Times reported.
CaldronPool.com reported, “In second place was Samoa’s 18-year-old weightlifter Feagaiga Stowers, who won her nation’s second gold medal last year after Hubbard was forced to withdraw due to an elbow injury.” Stuff.co added, “Lifting for gold comes after revelations that Hubbard was charged with careless driving causing injury after her vehicle fishtailed on a sharp bend near Queenstown on October 24, 2018. Her car hit a vehicle carrying an Australian couple in their 60s. The male driver spent nearly two weeks in Dunedin Hospital and needed major spinal surgery on returning to Australia.”
Stuff also reported that Hubbard sought the permanent suppression of his name after the accident, and a judge ruling in February supported suppressing the name until the end of September 2019, but Stuff appealed, and last week the High Court overruled the judge from February. Stuff noted, “Justice Gerald Nation said Judge Farnan had made a number of errors and Hubbard’s potential distress did not meet the legal test for suppression.” Continue Reading

Megan Rapinoe: Our Soccer Team ‘Has Managed To Make People Proud Again’
Yesterday, on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” U.S. Women’s Soccer World Cup championship team co-captain Megan Rapinoe credited her team with making “people proud again.” I could not disagree more. They disrespected the American flag by deliberately dropping it on the ground when they won and were very anti-American and anti-President Trump as well. I am deeply ashamed of them representing the U.S. in soccer and I think most Americans agree with that sentiment.
Rapinoe said, “I think the opportunity is in everyone’s exhaustion of the fighting and the negative, and our team has managed to make people proud again, to capture people’s interest, and make them want to do something. I think people are asking the question, how can we rally around this team? And in that, what the team stands for, whether it’s equal pay or racial equality or LGBTQ rights, I think we’ve just managed to give people hope, and with that, we need to do the next step, which is to actually take the progress step.”
The 34-year-old forward and co-captain of the team, who skyrocketed to national fame in recent weeks for her incredible performance in the world soccer championship as well as her outspoken opposition to President Trump, said Americans are tired of all the negativity. Yep, and it’s coming from her and her comrades.
From the HuffPost:
“Rapinoe, who is openly gay, has repeatedly accused the Trump administration of pushing policies that further threaten the rights of marginalized communities, such as LGBTQ people and immigrants. She made headlines last month when she told a reporter that she’s “not going to the fucking White House” if her team wins the World Cup.
“We’re not gonna be invited,” she added. “I doubt it.”
“Trump quickly fired back at Rapinoe on Twitter, claiming she should first “WIN” the World Cup before talking about a White House invitation. Her team subsequently beat the Netherlands 2-0 last Sunday to win the championship.
“Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our Flag, especially since so much has been done for her & the team,” the president said.
“Rapinoe on Sunday called on her team’s fans to continue to take action on issues they’ve supported, including racial equality, LGBTQ rights, and equal pay.

“Asked if she’s considering a future run for political office, Rapinoe said she’s not sure she’s qualified to do so.
“There’s no qualifications for office these days,” host Chuck Todd told her.
“That’s true. Up to 44, I guess there was,” Rapinoe responded, an apparent jab at Trump’s total lack of political experience prior to becoming the 45th president of the United States.
“She continued: “You know what? I’m going to fight for equal pay every day, for myself, for my team and for every single person out there ― man, woman, immigrant, U.S. citizen, person of color, whatever it may be ― equal pay, as the great Serena Williams said, until I’m in my grave.”’

What Rapinoe misses is that no one cares if she’s gay and she’s ruining the sport for everyone out there. She obviously loves identity leftist politics more than her country. Frankly, she should just stay in Europe where she is far more at home.
And she is definitely not qualified for political office. We don’t need drama queens and grandstanding narcissists… we need those that love America, know what she stands for, and don’t malign her at every opportunity. That is definitely not Rapinoe.
