Cruz Exposes Dem Hypocrisy On Wall Funding In 5 Minutes Flat – WATCH

Published

on

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) not only knows the Constitution and the law inside and out… he is one of the most articulate and eloquent speakers of our time. Last week, he delivered a speech that exposed the hypocrisy from the Democrats over the border wall funding in five minutes flat. It was epic and I would expect nothing less from Cruz.

Cruz made a specific point of laying out the fact that many Senate Democrats had previously voted for “350 miles of border wall” that Nancy Pelosi and others are now calling immoral. They also voted for the funding for it which was a lot more than Trump is asking for now.

Cruz let them have it from the get-go:

“So, let’s go over some of the facts. In the senator from Colorado’s angry speech, he did not dispute, number one, that he and every other Senate Democrat in 2013 voted for 350 miles of border wall. That’s a fact. He has voted for 350 miles of border wall, as did every other Democrat in this chamber at that time. Number two, he did not dispute that in December of last year, the then-Republican House of Representatives voted to fund the government, to fund the entirety of the government, and to secure the border, and the senator from Colorado and, I believe, every other Democrat, filibustered that bill and caused the shutdown.

“…Had we taken up the bill, had we simply passed the bill the House of Representatives had passed funding the government and securing the border, the government would never have shut down. And so it takes some degree of chutzpah to stand up after filibustering funding for the government, as the Democrats did, and to blame the shutdown on the opposing party. The senator from Colorado did not dispute [that] the Republican House voted to fund the government, and he and his Democratic colleagues filibustered that, which caused the shutdown.”

Ouch. That hit right on target and left its mark. Cruz went on to dissect the “new adjective” being used by some Democrats to describe a border barrier. Call if a (medieval) wall, a fence, a barrier… Americans just want their border protected for national security reasons:

“…the senator from Colorado did not dispute that the stated reason the Democrats filibustered that bill is because it authorized the funding of 234 miles of wall. Now, I have to say, Madam President, I find it amusing [that] a new adjective has creeped in. It’s now not 234 miles of wall, it’s “medieval” wall. I don’t know if there’s something in there that has a moat and has catapults and they’re throwing burning tar — medieval wall now. It’s kind of an odd thing. It does raise the question: Well, if walls are medieval, why did the senator from Colorado and every other Democrat in 2013 vote for 350 miles of medieval wall? To the extent walls are medieval, they presumably were medieval in 2013 just as much as they are now.”

Again, excellent point and it displays the rampant hypocrisy of the left here. Cruz was still going and he noted that although we need technology and boots on the ground for the border, the wall or barrier is of utmost importance here:

“…Walls are effective, and I’ll tell you every single border patrol agent I’ve asked that, and I have asked dozens, probably hundreds of border patrol agents, “Are walls effective?” Unquestionably, they say, “Yes.” Now, let’s not construct a straw man. Walls aren’t the only thing. You need technology, you need boots on the ground, you need all sorts of other tools, but … the critical point in intercepting someone crossing over illegally is the time between detection and interception, and what a wall does is [it] slows down the traffickers to give the border patrol time to intercept them.

“And by the way, we’ve seen it over and over again. In San Diego, when they built the wall, the illegal traffic plummeted. In El Paso, when they built the wall, the illegal traffic plummeted.”

Walls work… just ask the Israelis. Cruz is also right when he says the only reason the border wall funding is not going through is the disdain and sheer hatred the left feels for President Trump:

“But now, the Democrats, their position — it’s not substantive. They voted for 350 miles of wall, so why are they shutting the government down over 234 miles of wall? It’s not substantive, it’s political. Okay, we get they hate Donald Trump. If anyone in America had missed that point, that they really really really don’t like this man, their yelling and screaming and bellowing has made that abundantly clear. But just because you hate somebody doesn’t mean you should shut the government down.”

Gotta love when Millionaire communists lecture you on what you can and can’t do. Good thing he will never be elected President!

Via The Daily Caller:

2020 candidate and self-described democratic socialist Bernie Sanders said that the United States has to stop using gasoline and coal, and that “there ain’t no middle ground” on the issue.

“It is no secret that we must transition away from fossil fuels, period. End of discussion. There ain’t no middle ground…There is no middle ground,” Sanders said during a speech Thursday in California.

The Independent Vermont senator released a climate plan Thursday modeled after the “Green New Deal” that called for $16 trillion in new spending to fight climate change.

A key part of the plan is “Justice for frontline communities,” which refers to “under-resourced groups, communities of color, Native Americans, people with disabilities, children and the elderly – to recover from, and prepare for, the climate impacts, including through a $40 billion Climate Justice Resiliency Fund.”

Sanders’ plan, which is modeled as a “Green New Deal,” also targets “environmental racism.”

“The Green New Deal must serve to address modern and historical inequities and environmental racism,” it reads.

Sanders has sought to separate himself from the field of other 2020 Democratic contenders by proposing far-left plans on a variety of issues.

On health care, Sanders supports a “Medicare for All” style plan which would eliminate private health insurance plans and give free health care to illegal immigrants. Continue Reading

Bernie Sanders Says His $16-Trillion Green New Deal-Like Plan Will Create 20 Million Jobs

Via Daily Caller:

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders introduced a $16.3-trillion plan similar to the Green New Deal on Thursday, which he says will create 20 million jobs.

The plan aims to make 100% of energy for U.S. electricity and transportation renewable by 2030 and have “complete decarbonization” by 2050, according to its outline.

“As President, Bernie Sanders will boldly embrace the moral imperative of climate change and mobilize the political will necessary for a wholesale transformation of our society, with massive investments in sustainable energy, energy efficiency, and a transformation of our transportation system,” his plan reads. Dem Rep Says We Need Illegal Immigrants To Mow ‘Our Beautiful Lawns’ – WATCH

That is some serious white supremacy right there. The Democrats racist colors always show. They can’t hide that for long…and they sure make it clear on how they love slaves.

It isn’t conservatives that are racist…it’s the Democrat party!

Via The Daily Wire:

Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-NJ) explained to his constituents earlier in the week that illegal immigrants are necessary members of New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District because they are willing to take on the jobs that the community’s teenagers will no longer do.

“We have to think about the jobs because the reason this happens is because there are a lot of jobs in our community that, like it or not, for better or worse, Americans are not willing to take,” Malinowski told the crowd while appearing at a town hall meeting.

“I mean, who do you think is taking care of our seniors? Fifty percent of the eldercare workers in the state of New Jersey are immigrants, most of them legal — most of them documented — but certainly some of them are not,” he continued. “Who do you think is mowing our beautiful lawns in Somerset County? We don’t usually ask but a lot of those workers are undocumented.”

Watch:

Malinowski contended that the illegal immigrants residing in the area are able to fill the gap as teenagers who historically have been working menial jobs are now focused more on a white collar education in the technology sector.

“There just aren’t a lot of kids who — sorry — are from Montgomery High [School], who are going to be doing that full time,” the Democratic lawmaker said. “You guys are going into robotics, for goodness sake.”

Malinowski’s controversial comments come as he prepares to seek a second term in the congressional swing district. The freshman congressman, who previously served as the Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor under former President Barack Obama, successfully flipped his red district blue during the 2018 midterm elections after he edged out longtime incumbent Rep. Leonard Lance (R-NJ).

Four of New Jersey’s twelve House districts were won by Democrats after decades of being reliably red, including Malinowski’s newly acquired seat. Continue Reading
