325k Police Officers Just Sent Nike a Bold Message They’ll NEVER Forget

Published

Nike’s new ad campaign for “Just Do It” that uses Colin Kaepernick as their social justice warrior and the new face of their brand is getting massive blowback and rightly so. They seem to have forgotten who truly sacrifices in this country and it isn’t those such as Kaepernick. The ad campaign is a slap in the face to police, military, and first responders.

Gino Fisanotti, Nike’s vice president of brand marketing for North America, told ESPN, “We believe Colin is one of the most inspirational athletes of this generation, who has leveraged the power of sport to help move the world forward.” The tone deafness here is stunning.

Now, the Fraternal Order of Police is stepping forward and speaking out against Nike’s 30th-anniversary ad campaign. The FOP has over 325,000 officers with over 2,100 chapters across the country. So, that’s a pretty loud voice.

Chuck Canterbury, who is the national president of the Fraternal Order of Police, even went so far as to defend Kaepernick and Nike’s right to do as they please regarding freedom of expression. Immediately following that, however, he made it abundantly clear what police think of that expression in a formal statement.

From the FOP:

“Colin Kaepernick and all Americans have the constitutional right to freely express their views, even if they are uninformed and inflammatory. Indeed, law enforcement officers have an obligation to defend these rights and we do so every day, even in those cases when the views expressed are hostile, hateful or offensive to the men and women of law enforcement.

“The Fraternal Order of Police has been called upon to boycott Nike for capitalizing on this former professional football player because he attracts controversy. In our experience, boycotts and similar exercises do not succeed and often serve only to enrich the company—which is not what we want to do. Our members and, for that matter, any American citizen, understands when the law enforcement profession is being insulted—we have no doubt they will make their purchases with that insult in mind.

“If Nike chooses to create an ad campaign featuring a former quarterback who describes cops as ‘pigs’ and makes large donations to the family of a convicted cop killer and wanted fugitive, Joanne Chesimard, who murdered New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster in cold blood in 1973, they are free to do so.

“Since 2016, 381 officers have been killed in the line of duty. They believed in something and sacrificed everything, as did the families they left behind. All of the men and women in law enforcement believe in something and are prepared to sacrifice everything.

“Ultimately, this ad campaign will end and our nation will no longer associate ‘sacrifice’ and ‘sneakers.’ Instead, we will once again associate ‘sacrifice’ with our fellow Americans in our military and police departments who stand in harm’s way to protect the rest of us and our right to express ourselves.”

In August of 2016, Kaepernick told Steve Wyche of NFL Media, “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

Nike’s Kaepernick ad features his face with the slogan, “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.”

Kaepernick has sacrificed nothing and has made millions throwing a ball around. He makes even more money by supporting communists and radical groups. There is nothing noble or admirable about Colin Kaepernick.

Police put everything on the line for us daily and many of them give up their lives doing their duty to serve and protect. The ad also insults the service and sacrifice of our veterans. The FOP may not boycott Nike, but I certainly will and so will many Americans over this.

This deal with Nike will make Kaepernick millions and he will become even more famous. This is a guy that supports cop killers like Joanne Chesimard and radical groups such as Black Lives Matter. He wears shirts that sport Che and talks about racial oppression and social justice… but I have yet to see that he has sacrificed anything of merit yet.

The response against Nike over this has been thunderous. But hey, at least Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad supports Kaepernick, “The #NFL season will start this week, unfortunately once again @Kaepernick7 is not on a NFL roster. Even though he is one of the best Quarterbacks in the league.#ColinKaepernick #NFL.” One wonders if Mahmoud even watches football because it sure doesn’t sound like it, but I bet he wears Nike.

This will further destroy the NFL. A sport that Americans once loved. This will only be a disaster for the NFL.

Majority of America is beyond tired of this Anti-American garbage. So..continue on, NFL. You will continue to lose more and more supporters.

Good riddance!

Via Breitbart:

The NFL has announced that it has turned over a large portion of the decision making process for the Super Bowl halftime show, as well as other music and entertainment decisions, to social justice activist and rapper Jay-Z and his Roc Nation entertainment company.

Given the activist politics of Jay-Z and his wife, Beyonce, league entertainment choices will likely be heavily driven by “woke” motivations.

On Tuesday, the NFL announced that it was partnering with Roc Nation for the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show. But subsequent reports have noted that Jay-Z’s entertainment company will have far more responsibilities than just programming the 2020 Super Bowl.

According to ESPN, the league is handing over most of its entertainment decisions to Jay-Z, including, making him the co-producer of the Super Bowl.
The rapper celebrated the move:

“With its global reach, the National Football League has the platform and opportunity to inspire change across the country,” the rapper said in a statement. “Roc Nation has shown that entertainment and enacting change are not mutually exclusive ideas — instead, we unify them. This partnership is an opportunity to strengthen the fabric of communities across America.”

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell also touted the partnership:

“Roc Nation is one of the most globally influential and impactful organizations in entertainment,” Goodell said on Wednesday. “The NFL and Roc Nation share a vision of inspiring meaningful social change across our country. We are thrilled to partner with Roc Nation and look forward to making a difference in our communities together.”

The deal hands Jay-Z responsibility for “creation and distribution of music content across multiple music and streaming services, as well as consult and collaborate on the production, promotion, and marketing of live music events,” ESPN wrote. Continue Reading

These people are supposed to representing our country..and instead, are a total embarrassment. If you don’t love this country.. don’t put on that uniform. In fact, you are free to leave.

What a perfect opportunity for Race Imboden to defect. He should renounce his US citizenship, and say goodbye forever to the country he hates so much.

Men and women have died for our freedom. Precious blood was spilled for this country. If you hate it.. why are you here? Why represent a country you hate? Liberals are hate-filled lunatics.

These people don’t represent us!

Via Breitbart:

A member of the U.S. men’s fencing team took a knee during the Star-Spangled Banner on Friday, at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

Race Imboden an Olympic medalist and member of the U.S. men’s foil team, took a knee after his team won the gold at the games. He also took to Twitter to exclaim how ashamed he is of the United States, the Washington Post reported.

“Racism, Gun Control, mistreatment of immigrants, and a president who spreads hate are at the top of a long list,” Imboden tweeted. “I chose to [sacrifice] my moment today at the top of the podium to call attention to issues that I believe need to be addressed. I encourage others to please use your platforms for empowerment and change”

Imboden now shares a bronze with Canadian Maximilien van Haaster for men’s foil and was part of the U.S. team’s gold win in team foil at this year’s Pan Am Games.

Mark Jones, vice president of communications for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, issued a statement noting that Imboden violated the rules of the games with his protest against the United States.

“Every athlete competing at the 2019 Pan American Games commits to terms of eligibility, including to refrain from demonstrations that are political in nature. In this case, Race didn’t adhere to the commitment he made to the organizing committee and the USOPC,” Jones said.

“We respect his rights to express his viewpoints, but we are disappointed that he chose not to honor his commitment. Our leadership are reviewing what consequences may result,” Jones added.

Imboden’s teammates, Gerek Meinhardt, and Nick Itkin, both stood at attention during the national anthem. Continue Reading
