Benghazi is one of the most infuriating and disgraceful chapters in Hillary Clinton’s and Barack Obama’s tenure in office. Justice was never done there and many, many Americans are still incensed over it. Four Americans died in that attack on Septemeber 11, 2012 and we are still waiting for answers. The attack in Benghazi, Libya took place in two waves at the consulate and lasted several hours.
Jason Chaffetz left political office as a Utah congressman and is now a contributor with Fox News. Chaffetz was one of the first US representatives to go to Benghazi after that horrific terrorist attack. On Fox News, he slammed Obama for calling Benghazi a “wild conspiracy theory” and he explained the horrible way that the Obama administration treated the Benghazi heroes.
Not only did both Clinton and Obama lie and blame the Benghazi attack on a video, they are now trying to rewrite history on the matter. Chaffetz called Obama out for failing to protect the people at the mission and the CIA compound.
From Fox News Insider:
“He said Obama failed to protect the Americans stationed at the Benghazi compound and he failed to act in the aftermath of the deadly attack, and now he cannot “rewrite history.”
“It is offensive to the men and women who served in Libya, who served this country and who serve in the United States military because that president — President Obama — failed to act,” said Chaffetz, who chaired the House Oversight Committee from 2015 to 2017 and led investigations into the attack.”
“Shame on the president for saying that,” Chaffetz said. Unfortunately, I don’t personally believe that Obama or Clinton know what shame is. They certainly showed none before, during or after the Benghazi attack. And they probably never will.
The Obama administration should have seen the attack coming long before it occurred. There were many threats from radical Jihadists against Western targets and the compound itself. One of two prior attacks was from al Qaeda in June of 2012 where they blew a huge hole in the compound wall. The second was in April of that year and involved a security guard.
Even with all of that happening, Clinton and Obama did nothing to increase the security at that compound. They did not try and get anyone out of there either. Even when Ambassador Chris Stevens (a Democrat) and others pleaded for more security, all that Clinton and Obama did was turn a deaf ear.
But hold on to your shorts, there is another detail that has surfaced that Chaffetz discussed with Fox’s Sean Hannity. It concerns the brave CIA contractors who were willing to risk their lives to try and save those in the compound that fateful day.
Chaffetz related that the contractors were fired after they arrived back in Germany following the attack and had to figure out how to get home from there, despite the fact that they risked their lives and saved many others. That’s just disgraceful and unconscionable.
From Gateway Pundit:
“Jason Chaffetz: You know what happened when they actually got home? Those people saved dozens of American lives. When they got home you know what the State Department, Hillary’s State Department did? They took away their security clearance so they couldn’t get a job. It’s unbelievable. That’s how they treated these guys. When they were there in Germany. When they were there in Germany. They didn’t send them home. They didn’t offer them plane tickets. They just told them they were released. They had to pay for their own plane tickets to get home.”
That shocked even me. I had never heard about that happening and it is just heinous and vile on the part of Clinton and Obama. Evidently, they thought no one would ever know about how they treated the heroes of Benghazi. It’s like they were trying to punish those six men for trying to save lives that day.
I remember the reporting on the whole disastrous affair and how Hillary and Obama both did nothing. That battle raged on for thirteen hours and according to some reports, Obama simply went to bed. I still to this day don’t understand why there has never been a reckoning over this.
And after everything these contractors did and risked their lives for, the Obama administration then supposedly took away their security clearances so they could no longer get work inside the government. It’s like sticking the final knife in their backs. That ‘wild conspiracy theory’ that Obama was touting looks more like an actual conspiracy to me.
