BREAKING: Trump Assassination Plot Thwarted – Man Charged

Published

on

A North Dakota man who is evidently deeply disturbed was accused of plotting to use a forklift to flip over President Trump’s limo to “kill the president.” He pleaded guilty to the charge. Gregory Lee Leingang was officially charged in federal court over his plan that revolved around Trump’s visit to Mandan, North Dakota, in September of 2017. Trump was visiting the city to give a speech on tax reform.

Fortunately, when Leingang went to carry out his plan, the forklift got stuck in a gated area that had been closed off. The attack was thwarted before he could carry it out. Notice the media is silent over the attack and the case in general. Leingang was taken into custody by police and confessed his plan to them and to the Secret Service. More from Metro on Trump’s unhinged attacker:

A man admitted stealing a forklift in a bid to flip Donald Trump’s ‘Beast’ limousine and kill him.

Gregory Leingang, 42, snatched the machinery then drove to the president’s motorcade route while he was paying a visit to Grand Forks, North Dakota, last September.

But his bizarre plot fell apart when he became stuck in a gated area which had been closed off ahead of the Trump visit.

Leingang was arrested for trying to damage government property, the Grand Forks Herald reported.

The would-be assassin admitted attempting to enter or remain in a restricted building and on grounds while using a dangerous weapon during a court hearing Friday.

Prosecutor Sasse Russell told the court: ‘The intent was to basically try to get to the limo, flip the limo and get to the president and he wanted to kill the president.’

Michelle Monteiro, representing Leingang, claimed her client as suffering a serious psychiatric crisis during this incident.

He set two fires at a maintenance shop and public building earlier the same day and was jailed for a total of 20 years.

Leingang is expected to serve his entire prison sentence and is scheduled for release in 2038.

Even if Leingang had managed to get close to the official presidential car, he is unlikely to have done the president much harm.

That is because Trump’s custom-built Cadillac, which has just been replaced, is equipped with a host of features to make it almost indestructible.
