It has been widely reported that members of the migrant caravan stormed the southern border between San Diego and Tijuana, attempting to cross and illegally enter the United States.
And, the mainstream media has painted the incident as sympathetic to the migrant caravan members because U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents used tear gas on the group.
Women and children were affected by the gas and seemingly countless pictures and videos showed these victims running in horror from the gas.
The scene was horrible, but some mainstream media outlets are not telling the whole story, Hector Garza, the vice president of the National Border Patrol Council told Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
According to Garza, women within the migrant caravan were used as human shields by those within the caravan seeking to agitate U.S. border forces.
“Our agents were under attack. They were assaulted,” Garza said to Ingraham, as BizPac Review reports.
“These migrants were throwing rocks, glass bottles, and other debris. Some of our agents were hit on their heads. There were minor injuries,” he continued.
And: “There was also damage to government vehicles; their windows were broken. So this was an assault. This was an invasion on our agents, and on our country. And our agents had to respond with a very low level of force, which was the tear gas that was deployed.”
But Hector Garza pointed out that the migrants intentionally used women and children as human shields as they assaulted border-patrol agents with rocks and bottles.
About 90% of the migrant caravans are young men, according to multiple press reports. The few women and children scattered throughout are merely being used as props to promote leftist propaganda.
Mexican and Guatemalan officials said the callous use of women and children as shields on the front line was done deliberately — to stoke public outrage at border patrol agents and at President Trump.
“These migrants were using children as human shields as they were launching rocks at our agents,” Garza continued, via the report. “They had no regard for human life. They did not care about other migrants. They did not care about the kids. Our agents did a great job by using tear gas to disperse the crowd.”
So, in response to aggressive members of the migrant caravan, the border protection forces utilized minimal force to deter any illegal crossings.
In response to the incident at the border, Homeland Security Department Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen issued the following, lengthy statement:
“Given the activities of the last 24 hours at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, I want to provide an update on what occurred and attempt to dispel many of the rumors and much of the misinformation circulating.
“First, the violence we saw at the border was entirely predictable. This caravan, unlike previous caravans, had already entered #Mexico violently and attacked border police in two other countries. I refuse to believe that anyone honestly maintains that attacking law enforcement with rocks and projectiles is acceptable. It is shocking that I have to explain this, but officers can be seriously or fatally injured in such attacks. Self-defense isn’t debatable for most law-abiding Americans.
“Second, the caravan is far larger and more organized than previous ones. There are 8,500 caravan members in Tijuana and Mexicali. There are reports of additional caravans on their way.
“Third, the overwhelming majority of these individuals are not eligible for asylum in the United States under our laws. Historically, less than 10% of those who claim asylum from #Guatemala, #Honduras, and #ElSalvador are found eligible by a federal judge. 90% are not eligible. Most of these migrants are seeking jobs or to join family who are already in the U.S. They have all refused multiple opportunities to seek protection in Mexico or with the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. Seeking employment or family reunification are not grounds for asylum under our laws, or any international obligation. There are, however, legal ways to seek a job or to be reunited in the U.S.
“Fourth, the caravan members are predominately male. It appears in some cases that the limited number of women and children in the caravan are being used by the organizers as “human shields” when they confront law enforcement. They are being put at risk by the caravan organizers as we saw at the Mexico-Guatemala border. This is putting vulnerable people in harms way.
“Fifth, we cannot confirm the backgrounds and identities of all caravan members which possess a national security and public safety risk to our country. However, at this point we have confirmed that there are over 600 convicted criminals traveling with the caravan flow. This includes individuals known to law enforcement for assault, battery, drug crimes, burglary, rape, child abuse and more. This is serious. Additionally, Mexico has already arrested 100 caravan members for criminal violations in Mexico.
“Sixth, our Border Patrol agents and officers responded admirably and responsibly to the events on Sunday. It is a testament to their training and professionalism that no one was injured. The accepted use of nonlethal force (also used by the Obama Administration in 2013) prevented further injury to agents and a mass illegal rush across the border. We will not shy away from protecting our people. I ask parents to avoid violent caravan groups and refrain from attempts to illegally enter our country – these acts will put your children in danger.
“Seventh, I want to thank President Donald J. Trump again for the decision to send @DeptofDefense to the border to bolster our ports of entry and provide force protection for Customs and Border Protection. This decision likely prevented injuries to personnel and migrants or additional damage to property. Instead of “a political stunt,” as suggested by some, this was in fact the act of a leader concerned about the rule of law.
“Eighth, this Administration has been working nonstop to fix our immigration system to address the crisis at the border. We have proposed legislation and asked Congress to pass it. The President has repeatedly made clear what is needed to secure our border and negotiated in good faith. It is time for Congress to do its job. Absent Congressional action courts have misinterpreted existing laws and have made the job of law enforcement far more difficult. But the men and women of DHS will continue to do all we can to enforce the law and DHS and U.S. Department of State will continue negotiations with Mexico and our other partners in the region. We are optimistic that cross border collaboration can help make America, indeed the entire region, more secure.
“Finally, this Administration warned about the danger of the caravan. We predicted the violence we saw on Sunday. We prepared to address it with additional personnel and DOD deployments. We will continue to prepare for the next assault while looking for lasting solutions with Congress and our Mexican partners. As always, I want to thank those officers and agents in San Ysidro who, under tremendous strain, used professionalism and restraint to ensure that no one was injured as they were attacked themselves. I also thank DOD and our state & local law enforcement who were on scene to support our people.”

Kamala Just Made Shocking Sudden Border Announcement – Beto & Gillibrand Panicking
As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service in the world, RWN offers the following information published by: Daily Caller
Democratic California Sen. Kamala Harris refuted two of her potential 2020 presidential primary challengers on Wednesday when she stated that she does not agree with their acceptance of open borders.
“No, I believe that we need border security,” Harris told “The Daily Show’s” Trevor Noah when asked how she felt about former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s call to remove the already standing wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Just got home from my second border trip, this one was in AZ. Slept a whopping 12hours and woke ready to get back to building the wall! Still waiting on Pelosi to accept my invitation for a tour…maybe next time. #BuildTheWall #WeBuildTheWall #SundayFunday #MAGA

“We need smart border security. We can’t have open borders, we need to have border security, all nations do,” she continued. “All nations define their borders, but we should not have a policy and perspective that is grounded in keeping people out for the sake of this nationalistic kind of thing this president is trying to push.”
O’Rourke has long argued against a border wall, despite still claiming to be against open borders. Following President Donald Trump’s executive order in September to erect an 18-foot steel bollard wall to replace the existing pedestrian fencing in El Paso, Texas, the Democrat called the existing chain-link fence “bad enough.”
The failed senatorial candidate later revealed to MSNBC’s Chris Hayes that if he could snap his fingers and make his hometown of El Paso’s border wall disappear, he “absolutely” would. O’Rourke insisted in the past that the way to improve border safety and security is to “ensure that we are maximizing the potential from everyone … [and] treating each other with respect and dignity” and referred to Trump’s wall as an “expression of our smallness, our meanness, our fear to the rest of the world.”
Democratic New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, who launched a presidential exploratory committee in January, signaled her support for tearing down the existing barrier on the border when she was confronted with O’Rourke’s position.
“Well, I’d have to ask folks in that part of the of the country to see whether the fencing that exists today is helpful or unhelpful,” Gillibrand replied in February when asked about O’Rourke’s comments. “But, you know, Democrats are not afraid of national security or border security.”
“And [the wall] is a hateful message. I mean [Trump’s] trying to create a picture of division and hate and derision. And that’s what I’m so offended by — the fact that he’s fused this kind of racism in, in his words and actions is just troubling,” she continued. “So, I could look at it and see which part he means and why and if it makes sense I could support it.”
Neither Gillibrand nor O’Rourke have officially entered the 2020 presidential race.

Trump Just Blindsided Congress By Demolishing New Plan To Stop Border Wall
As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service in the world, RWN offers the following information published by: Patriot Journal
Democrats thought they could open the border up – but Donald is ready for them.
The wall is getting built whether the Left likes it or not.
Trump has made it clear that he is going to do whatever it takes to protect the country, and has declared a National Emergency at the border to get the funds necessary to build the wall.
Anyone with common sense can see the border crisis is an emergency—am I right?! Every day, drugs and criminals are pouring in and putting American lives at risk.
But the Democrats don’t care and are determined to keep fighting against the country’s interests.
Time Magazine reports:
House Democrats plan to file a resolution as soon as Friday that’s aimed at blocking President Donald Trump’s declaration of an emergency at the Southwest border.
Passage by the Democratic-run House seems likely. The measure would then move to the Republican-controlled Senate, where there may be enough GOP defections for approval.
Trump has promised a veto, which would be difficult for Congress to override.
Trump predicted the Democrats would try to block his emergency declaration, and once again he’s been proven right.
But the President also predicts that he will win if the case makes it to the Supreme Court, just like he won the travel ban case.
Even if the resolution to block the declaration makes it through the House and Senate, the President will veto it, and there’s no way the resolution will make it through with a Republican majority.
Rep. Jim Jordan told reporters that he believes there are enough GOP votes in Congress to prevent the two-thirds supermajorities required to overcome a veto in both the House and the Senate.
“I think there are plenty of votes in the House to make sure that there’s no override of the president’s veto,” he said. “So it’s going to be settled in court, we’ll have to wait and see.”
Liberals may not care about saving American lives, but Trump will shut down any effort they make to keep our border unsecured.
