Beto: Abortion The Day Before Birth A ‘Woman’s Decision’ – WATCH

Published

on

It’s pretty disturbing how much the left loves slaughtering the unborn.

Let’s also not forget Beto fantasized about running down small children.

“One day, as I was driving home from work, I noticed two children crossing the street,” O’Rourke wrote. “They were happy, happy to be free from their troubles …This happiness was mine by right. I had earned it in my dreams.”

“As I neared the young ones, I put all my weight on my right foot, keeping the accelerator pedal on the floor until I heard the crashing of the two children on the hood, and then the sharp cry of pain from one of the two,” O’Rourke continued. “I was so fascinated for a moment, that when after I had stopped my vehicle, I just sat in a daze, sweet visions filling my head.”

That explains all you need to know about the psychopath Robert Francis.

Via Fox News:

Democratic 2020 hopeful Beto O’Rourke was asked Monday by a voter in Texas if his life had any “value” before the day he was born — leading the former congressman to declare that it’s a decision “for the woman to make.”

“My question is this: I was born Sept. 8th, 1989, and I want to know if you think on Sept. 7th, 1989, my life had no value,” the unidentified man asked, in remarks first reported by Breitbart News.

He was apparently referencing an answer O’Rourke gave in Ohio where he was asked about third-trimester abortions and said, “That should be a decision that the woman makes. I trust her.” On Monday, he gave a similar answer, adding only that he didn’t think that the man’s life had no value before he was born.

Responding to the voter’s question, O’Rourke said: “Of course I don’t think that. And of course I’m glad that you’re here. But you referenced my answer in Ohio, and it remains the same. This is a decision that neither you, nor I, nor the United States government should be making,” O’Rourke said.

“That’s a decision for the woman to make,” he said to loud applause from supporters.

The group Susan B. Anthony List, which opposes abortion, called the comments “sick.”

His remarks come as Democratic hopefuls have increasingly moved away from stances that impose nearly any restriction on access to abortion – just as some Republican states have toughened restrictions on abortions – possibly setting up a future court challenge to the Supreme Court Roe v. Wade decision that found a constitutional right to an abortion.

All prominent Democratic 2020 presidential hopefuls in the Senate in February voted down The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, including Bernie Sanders of Vermont, Kamala Harris of California, Cory Booker of New Jersey, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts.

O’Rourke on Monday described what he saw as an “attack on Roe v. Wade” from conservative politicians and activists across the country. He said that that attack was turning Texas into an epicenter of “this maternal mortality crisis” due to increased restrictions on abortion, as well as what he said was a refusal from the state’s lawmakers to expand Medicaid.

“I don’t question the decisions that a woman makes. Only a woman knows what she knows, and I want to trust her with that,” he said.

Watch:

“Question: Beto, welcome to South Carolina. (Cheers) So, you mentioned solar — that’s what I do for a living, sell solar panels. Stable energy is really important. But my question’s not about that. I saw in March, on Twitter, video — you were at a town hall meeting just like this in Cleveland. And someone asked you specifically, specifically about third trimester abortions, and you said that’s a decision left up to the mother. So, my question is this: I was born September 8th, 1989, and I want to know if you think on September 7th, 1989, my life had no value. (Boos)

Beto O’Rourke: Of course I don’t think that. And of course I’m glad that you’re here. But you referenced my answer in Ohio, and it remains the same. This is a decision that neither you, nor I, nor the United States government should be making. That’s a decision for the woman to make. (Cheers) We want her to have the best possible access to care and to a medical provider, and I’ll tell you the consequence of this, this attack on a woman’s right to choose —

Question: But what about my right to life?

Beto O’Rourke: I listened to you, and I heard your question. I’m answering it. And the attack on Roe v. Wade, which we thought was the settled law of the land, and lest we had any illusion that the achievements that we’ve made are protected forever, or that progress is inevitable, that has been shattered right now. And I want to tell you some of the consequences of this. In my home state of Texas, thanks to these “trap” laws that make it harder for providers to offer the full spectrum of reproductive care, more than a quarter of our family planning clinics have closed. And it has made us one of the epicenters of this maternal mortality crisis because not only can you not get safe, legal access to an abortion, you cannot get access to a cervical cancer screening, or a family planning provider, or — in a state that refused to expand Medicaid — any provider at all (Applause), and we are losing the lives of women in our state as a result. I don’t question the decisions that a woman makes. Only a woman knows what she knows, and I want to trust her with that. So, I appreciate the question. Thank you. (Cheers)”

Blasey Ford’s Friend: I Was Threatened With ‘Smear Campaign’ If I Didn’t Back Kavanaugh Story

Published

on

Color me shocked. Actual journalism and the uncovering of facts are coming out over the book written by two New York Times journalists as a hit job against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and you will never believe where it is coming from… CBS. They claim to have the “real bombshell” the Times’ initial report missed. And they are right.

The long-time “close friend” of Christine Blasey Ford, who Ford named as a potential witness to the alleged sexual assault by Brett Kavanaugh back in high school, not only says she does not believe Ford’s accusation, but told the FBI that allies of Ford threatened her with a smear campaign to change her story. How vile is that? No wonder they are no longer friends. Because she would not lie for Blasey Ford and the left they threatened to take her out. So typical.

From The Daily Wire:

“Leland Keyser, a long-time “close friend” of Ford, is one of four people Ford named as supposedly being at the alleged party where she said Kavanaugh tried to force himself on her. In its report Monday, CBS Evening News notes that with Keyser’s first public statements on her friend’s allegations, which she gave in an interview with Times reporters Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly, all four of the people Ford claims were at the party now flatly deny that it ever happened.

“As The Daily Wire reported Monday, Keyser also says that Ford’s allies attempted to pressure her to change the story, telling the FBI that those allies even threatened to mount a smear campaign against her if she didn’t — a claim previously revealed by Mollie Hemingway and Carrie Severino in their book, “Justice on Trial: The Kavanaugh Confirmation and the Future of the Supreme Court.”

“In a tweet Monday promoting the CBS report, CBS’s Jan Crawford underscored the “real bombshell” highlighted by the network (h/t Ed Morrissey): “We report tonight the real bombshell: Christine Ford’s close HS friend (who Ford says was at the party when Kavanaugh allegedly assaulted her) said Ford’s story is not believable and told the FBI Ford’s allies pressured her, threatened her with a smear campaign to say otherwise.”

“As The Daily Wire reported Monday, Hemingway and Severino’s book, which was published in July but largely ignored by the media, unlike the new Times reporters’ book, referenced the alleged attempt to pressure Keyser. In a report for The Federalist Monday, Hemingway summarized the revelations in their book that the Times reporters confirmed and elaborated upon:

The authors also acknowledge what had previously been reported in “Justice on Trial,” about the efforts of mutual friends to get her to change her testimony to be more supportive of Blasey Ford. The reporters say that some of Blasey Ford’s friends “had grown frustrated with Keyser. Her comments about the alleged Kavanaugh incident had been too limited, some of them felt and did not help their friend’s case. Surely, given what a close friend Keyser had been, she could say more to substantiate Ford’s testimony and general veracity, even if she could not corroborate Ford’s more specific memories.”

A group text was formed in which friends such as Cheryl Amitay and Lulu Gonella discussed how to get her to say something more helpful to the cause. An unnamed man on the text suggested that they defame her as an addict. Keyser has been in recovery for some time, as her friends know and as has previously been reported.

Amitay answered, “Leland is a major stumbling block.” While asserting she didn’t want her to make anything up out of whole cloth, she offered ideas for things that could sound supportive of Ford’s story, such as that she’d been in similar situations with Blasey Ford that summer.

“I was told behind the scenes that certain things could be spread about me if I didn’t comply,” Keyser told the reporters, a stunning admission of the pressure to which she was subjected to by Blasey Ford’s allies.

Keyser said that Blasey Ford’s story of the alleged assault “didn’t make any sense.” “It would be impossible for me to be the only girl at a get-together with three guys, have her leave, and then not figure out how she’s getting home,” Keyser recalled. “I just really didn’t have confidence in the story.”

On Monday evening, President Trump said during a rally in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, that The New York Times will “never recover” from its mistake regarding the allegations against Kavanaugh. “They’ve taken the old grey lady and broken her down, destroyed her virtue, and ruined her reputation. She can never recover and will never return to greatness under current management,” the president commented. He’s certainly right about that.

This was simply a vicious political hit job to keep Brett Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court because of his views on abortion and other matters. But it has backfired big-time as lie after lie has been exposed. The left won’t let it go though and dementedly go on about impeachment over these lies. It didn’t work and it further discredited the media and the left.

No wonder Americans no longer trust the media. CBS should be commended for their actual journalism here.

Kamala Harris Wants Mandatory Buyback Of ‘Assault Weapons’ – Have ‘No Place’ In Society

Published

on

...

* By

Democrats just can’t help their tyrant selves. The gun battle is a battle the left will never ever win. No matter how hard they try. The majority of this country is armed.

Good luck trying to pry guns from American hands… It’s not going to happen, Kamala.

Via Daily Caller:

Democratic California Sen. Kamala Harris has become the latest presidential candidate to say that she will force Americans to relinquish their assault weapons.

However, she’s prepared to “buy back” the rifles and “give people their value” for the confiscated firearm, Harris told an audience member Monday at “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Harris also said that “we need to do buy backs” when asked what her policy on assault weapons would be.

“Great question I do believe that we need to do buy backs, and I’ll tell you why. First of all, let’s be clear about what assault weapons are they have been designed to kill a lot of human beings quickly. They are weapons of war with no place on the streets of a civil society,” Harris said.

Harris went further, saying that if she could not get the legislation through Congress to ban the further sale of assault weapons, she is “prepared to take executive action” to do so.

“I’ve seen assault weapons kill babies and police officers so, one, I’ll tell you when elected president, if the United States Congress continues to fail to have the courage to do something about this, I’m prepared to take executive action and put in place a ban on the importation of assault weapons into our country.”

Former Texas Democratic Rep. Beto O’Rourke has also supported mandatory assault weapon buybacks, saying “Hell, yes” he is prepared to take away guns. O’Rourke insisted it wouldn’t be necessary for federal government agents to go door to door to seize guns because he believes Americans will comply with the proposed law.

But that wouldn’t address those weapons that are currently owned by Americans, so Harris thinks “a buyback program is a good idea.” She promised to move quickly on the issue if she becomes the next president.

“And so, I’m telling you, when elected, if Congress fails to act, I’ll give them 100 days to put a bill on my desk for signature. And if they do not it, I will put it in place by executive action a comprehensive background check requirement and a ban on the assault weapons and importation of assault weapons into our country. I’m done.”
